Fixed Ceramics Factory Issues.

Yes, I scrapped the plot but the boxes are still there. I can kick them around but not touch them or scrap them. Some are floating where they were originally positioned inside the factory along with floating loose ammo which was on the conveyor belt. None of it is showing up in the workshop either. Despite this, we all know this is a great mod, keep up the great work guys.

Well that's a little weird, those are just vanilla normal ammo boxes, they should certainly not float, and you should be able to pick them up just fine.

Scrapping them doesn't work because they aren't component items, they are literally ammo boxes, so you should be able to pick them up to your inventory or use the Store function in workshop mode, just like you would if you dropped 10 ammo on the ground from your inventory.

I guess I should confirm: this is my ammo factory and not kinggaths ammo factory from Industrial Revolution right?

@mytigio: I honestly thought it was part of the fun when it happened to me. Kind of a bad neighbors style middle finger. I also found it hilarious to watch my dog and my companion go surfing through the piles like kids in a pile of leaves.

yeah, it's funny sometimes, but most of the time it's just an FPS killing nightmare chore :P

The physics in this game just aren't good enough to handle a 2 foot straight line reliably :P

Honestly I'll probably be replacing the ammo factory completely and stop using Contraptions builders all together, they are just far too unreliable (as we can all see from the issues surrounding every plot that includes a builder! :P)
If I may, I have a possible solution for you.

I really like using contraptions builders, but as anyone that uses them knows they have issues.

I determined that most of these issues occur when the contraptions builders are powered, active, and the player is not in the settlement (but possibly close enough that the cell is still loaded). I would return to find - well - smaller versions of the mess in the OP.

My initial solution was to put in a power switch, but on occasion I would forget to turn it off on my way out of the settlement.

My final solution which is currently working extremely well was to make the contraptions builder only active when the player was *close* to them.

The autodoors mod has a sensor that transmits power if there is a friend or foe nearby (user configurable detection and radius). I set it to run power if there was an ally withing 1000 units of the sensor, to a regular switch that I can disable manually if needed.

Now, the contraptions builders only activate when I am nearby, and once I leave the immediate area they shut off. No more issues with the builders.

Perhaps you or @kinggath could implement something similar ? Have the factories only begin their animations when a player is within 1000 or so units ?

Still hearing the sound of jiggling ceramic, I scrapped the building. That was a mistake, as even more exploded out of the walls, in what can only be described as ceramic bukkake. Bowls, cups, and plates covering the ground, the hill, and the two surrounding factories. It still lags horribly there.
Please say you saved a video.

I did not. If I had, it would have been in the OP for everyone to enjoy. Except maybe @mytigio

Oh I assure you I would have enjoyed it. I've had my fair share of random object explosions when I scrap a plot :P

I had a huge pile of Jangles once and they went EVERYWHERE :P
