Old Post Cancelling an attack ? Invincible mole rat - no save

Hello,

I am encountering a bug at the Star Light Drive-in assault : because of an invincible mole rat, I cannot kill all the defenders (because he his tagged as a defender). Best thing ; it's a legendary one, so he is destroying my crew.

I tried to enable the console, "recycleactor" on it, did not work.
I tried to "tai" it, in order to disable its AI (we never know), did not work.
I tried to kill it with the console. Turned out its color changed from red to yellow, but did not die (always full hp) and went on killing my crew (and myself).
I even tried some "setessential 0", but I am not sure how this command works.
And since I am playing on survival mod, my only save is at the start of the attack, in front of the settlement.

I know it's a bug, I have read about it before posting this message. The solution would be to go to the settlement before the quest and killing the annoying NPC while it's mortal. But, no save, I cannot do that.

So, do you have any idea how I could kill that thing, with another command ? Or perhaps going to the next stage of the quest, so that it is succeded ?
Or is it possible to go back to Jammer and cancel the attack while all my raiders have already be gathered in front of the settlement and are currently assaulting it ?

Thanks in advance.

Just to be sure, you clicked on the molerat first while in console? You need their ID, so setessential <ID CODE> 0.

You can also try command kah. Kills all hostiles.

Having all of your raiders die will effectively reset Jammer, but there is no cancel feature yet in Conqueror.

I had the same problem occur attacking a settlement, the invincible molerat is attached to a martial plot that gets built (has a dog house and various clutter). And I wasn't able to change the its 'essential' setting with the setessential command either, nor did 'kah' console command work..

What only worked was loading a previous save, going to the settlement and resetting the martial plot to something other than the molerat post.

Thanks for your answers. So, currently, this is totally bugged and nothing can be done without a good save, except losing on purpose. This is what I did, so. I cannot tell more ; I lost all my men, Jammer was quite angry, and I did not try another attack.

(Oh, and Metro Exodus too. :D )

I had the same thing happen (video 1). For me, I was also having the molerat internal cell issues in Red Rocket's cave, Shamrock Taphouse, and 1 other (internal cells where the molerats emerge from the ground, then attempt to locate the player, then their AI fails and if you try to save the game from that point on, it freezes). So I assumed they were connected. It has nothing to do with Conqueror afaict and everything to do with having removed mods on that save, even completely unrelated ones that appeared to be safe to remove. Cleaning the mods and the save fixed that specific issue (video 2), but ultimately I had to start a new game... Oh, and if you leave Conqueror to do its thing overnight, don't leave yourself in Pipboy :P

FWIW, the molerats I encountered at Starlight were not tagged as essential or protected, they were not from any plots, they were the vanilla Starlight molerat spawns, and they had 2 Workshop Framework spells on them - one to increase confidence (or aggression, I don't recall) and one to decrease it. Recycleactor removed 1 buff but exhibited no change in AI and did not make them killable.

I'm not permitted to insert links, but apparently I can embed, so here you go:

EDIT: I may have been incorrect in assuming Illicit's issue was the same that I encountered. The invincible molerat I encountered was a vanilla spawn, but I've now encountered the issue with the Kennel martial plot's Guard Mongrel. In performance options, I have NPCs and Pets set to OFF. Changing the plot from Kennel to something else removed the invincible (and hostile) dog.

Always best to go into a settlement before you actually assign one for conquest or enslavement.
you should be able to kill the critters then go and get your quest from jammer to invade that settlement :)

I can confirm that i tried using Kah in console command during the engagement and the quest completed, shortly afterwards the molerats where terminated when the settlement became a vassal.

kinggath has worked on this and it should be corrected entirely in the next patch.

Running Patch 4.0.5 and I am running into this issue. Rabid Mole rat in Starlight drive inn is unkillable.

Update: I went to a previous save and cleared the molerats from Starlight, assaulted once again, glowing molerat appeared and was unkillable, it was immortal. Tried console command kah a few times to no affect. Not sure what to do next to clear this, guess can just avoid this settlement for now.

That sucks. :(
Have you tried the disable command? It works for me on pesky critters when I'm in Workshop mode and one pops up (like the rad roaches in Sanctuary).
