Question Burden to Bear Maul keeps going back

After completing quest Maul continues to return to the site where we ambush the minutemen patrol.

seriously???This happens to me too in other patches but was fixed with phase 2.If you want take his id and moveto player and then sleep and best friend are going to be next to him.
And then talk to him to get the new collars

I was able to fix this I think by using “disable” in the console and then hitting “enable” he now goes back to his pot in the kennel plot. I just hope by doing that I didn’t mess up any future events with him or anything....
 
Lol! Anyway it doesn’t bother me so much if Maul wants to go for a walk every now and then, but can somebody please fix this Miss Nanny already! Sheesh......... raiders......
 
One thing I noticed is when I return to HQ after completing Burden to Bear I notice that no one says anything about it. While this might not be a bug I noticed in Fo4 edit that there is an event for Jammer sees Yao Guai which makes me think there should be some kinda dialogue exchange with Jammer after completing the quest.

For what i play arent any scene with jammer or ophelia after that only talk to maul to give you the yao guai collars (what dont work for me)
 
Oh ok wasn’t sure kinda seemed weird nobody cared we got freaking Yao Guai running around HQ. Anyway Maul returns to HQ with me along with the Yao Guai and if i talk to him it unlocks War Bears, but he will walk back to the scene of the ambush unless I disable and then enable him.

I tried this quest multiple times today starting from a save just before it starts, and Maul got stuck at the same spot each time after completion. I was able to fix this thanks to your solution offered above, with the addition I also had to console move him back to HQ after dis-/enabling him.
After that he offered me more collars and actually stayed at the kennel so far...
 
Hmm, I also have a problem with this quest. The issue is something that should have been fixed in the latest patch. Ophelia isn't by the questmarker as she should be when you approach the two dead bears.. Using a moveto player command on her just causes her to walk off into the sunset and after a while she teleports back to HQ.
 
Have you tried to wait or sleep a couple of hours after you get the quest, to give her time to move to the meeting point?
Aye, it was the first thing I tried. I waited a whole week, but it turned out that she hadn't left the HQ at all when I returned there. After that I tried the moveto player command to see if that would help, but it didn't.

I can always complete the quest through console commands, but I rather not, who knows what issues it might cause with the characters.

Sorry, didn't want to sell you for stupid (that's probably not English but Genglish ^^) It's just sometimes hard to tell how experienced players seeking for help here really are, and giving NPCs (and scripts) time to move on has definitely helped me a lot, personally...

I had a lot of trouble with some of the Conqueror quests in a previous play through, and haven't run into any problems in my latest one up to this point (where Maul got stuck. This and the damn Ms Nanny not getting repaired ^^). There have been a lot of improvements to the quests, so I'm confident this one will get fixed eventually, too.

The problem of Ophelia is occurring even before I get to meet Maul. She wanders up and down that road over the body of the dead Minuteman endlessly. She is supposed to be at the first ambush site, but instead wanders back to HQ. If I catch her, she will start up the process of going BACK to the first ambush site, then we walk back down the road she just walked up past the dead Minuteman. Then she just goes back and forth.
 
Yeah, all the way back. There's something systemic about their need to be at HQ that effects her questlines all the way back to Butchery. I think if kinggath can kill whatever that problem is, it'll clear up across the board. I'm stuck at Butchery. I'd love to see the quest your on! Sadly, each new patch is just a few steps and a forced stop.
 
And now that I am at Burden to Bear, O simply isn't at the marker. She doesn't arrive even after waiting a bit. She doesn't teleport (which I actually expected). I waited overnight in Greygarden, walked over, nothing. I reloaded a save, nothing. I tried setting the next stage but of course that didn't do anything as I'm sure there's conversational dialogue and all that. Stuck.

update: tried fast travel away, coming back, prid moveto, she finally appeared at the location but then took off south (despite HQ being north). Just walked away like the Backroad Butchery thing all over again.

update #2: got it to work by simply fast traveling immediately, not giving O any time to overthink it. She was actually standing right there, and it went off with only one minor CTD in the middle . . .. I'll have to add that to my list of workarounds for various Conqueror weirdness. Sometimes waiting isn't the answer. Go for broke.

One funny thing is that when I went back to HQ (Starlight with a lvl 2 city plan going), Jammer was working on a turret. It took several tries for him and O to say anything, but eventually the turret started firing "accidentally" into the mocking raiders. Too bad they were inside the city plan's placement of a trailer, making it ineffective. I disabled the trailer temporarily, the turret killed them, and I reenabled the trailer like it never happened. Thank god for console.
