Question Building outside the boundaries

Is there a mod for Xbox that can lengthen or turn off the timer for being outside the boundaries when placing items? I find it to be very frustrating to be knocked out of workshop mode while trying to place things just right.

I was able to make a foundation bridge from VR Desert Island North to VR Desert Island East.

I had to turn off the workshop boundary timer and as long as I placed the item within the original settlement first I could pick it up and move it outside the boundary.

Built items that have no stats should be relatively harmless to carry over into another settlement. I would not suggest doing it with anything that gives stats to a settlement though.

For example, if you dragged a bed from Sanctuary to Red Rocket and then when you were in Concord that bed could be still considered part of Sanctuary and cause Sanctuary to load the stats and the AI would adjust to only having that bed in it, in a theory I aint about to bother testing, lol.

Is there a definition for these items that have stats or a list? Is it like things that provide something other than a collision requirement? Xbox isn’t all that forthcoming with console codes & such.

I meant things like crops, defense, beds, generators, etc. Those things should always be kept in the original cells of a settlement. Well you can go outside the boundary, but I would not go too far.

There has been cases where people tried running power from Sanctuary to Red Rocket and did not end very well.

Had a friend decide run stuff from Hangman's Alley to Diamond City gate so he could build a better defense there. That did not end very well either.

If you want to build a concrete wall, bridge or whatever outside the boundaries it really should not have any effect as long as you aint like five miles away with it.

In some cases it might be better to just spawn an item with a console command and learn to rotate it with the x,y,z axis commands. Like if you wanted to add a chemistry workbench at Cambridge Red Rocket. Which of course ya can not do on an X Box, lol.

Yeah, that’s my limitations. I have a laptop, but everything I’ve read says it’s not up to par for the job of running FO4 let alone the mods. Sigh, I’m just going to have to bite the bullet & save slowly up to get something that will do the trick.

Or you can get Cheat Terminal and spawn in the workbenches wherever you are …
