I'm still relatively new to the mod (and obviously new to this site) but one thing that I've seen repeatedly is the choice of building materials used in the design of plot buildings. It really makes a settlement look like a mess. The quality of the work by the mod authors is of course fantastic, that is not in question here. But I'm wondering if anyone else has tried to find a way to make the settlers create actual houses instead of a trailer air-lifted onto wooden poles and turned 45 degrees.

I ask because I feel as though many people are playing with the myriad building piece mods and if we predominantly use Sim Settlements for the strategy aspect, we lose the utility provided by all those great mods that unlock full walls (no holes) or the ability to build institute walls, elevators, etc. So how do you all balance this out in your playthroughs? Do you have a strategy for which settlements you make Sim Settlement towns and which you build yourself by hand? Or have you found a way to integrate those materials into SS towns?

Honestly I normally only build one settlement myself and leave the rest for SS. If you are serious into building then don't use SS for your settlement is the real answer.

It's a choice at the end of the day on how you want to play. I don't use any other build packs and stripped them all out. What I need to build is available in WRK and more then enough for me to build the settlement I want.

Your question is very subjective and different players will have differing opinions on this. The above is mine.
