When I last did a city plan in December (or was it January?) one of the mods said I should use an external photo service to post the ten pictures of my settlement. Which one should I use? I have never used them before, not a photo buff or much of a Reddit poster.

Thanks

The best way to take screenshots is to use the free camera.
Open the console and type: tfc
To hide the HUD type: tm
There's 2 ways you can take screenshots, you can use steam by pressing F12, then navigate to where steam stores your pictures by viewing the screenshot options in steam.
Or you can type screenshot in the console and the image will be saved in your fallout4 folder.

You're almost there. A couple other things you can do before hitting TFC &TM. First thing to do before anything is open the console and type SUCSM :space: and then a number under 5. What this does is controls the camera speed. One is slow, while 10 is very fast. If you have a pose mod, put one on your Pc, otherwise it will wander every time you move the mouse in TFC. Hit TFC and enter. Next, get airborne if you want overall pics of your settlement! Keep the sun behind you if you can. Having the camera look towards it isn't a good idea because everything in front of you will have much contrast and washed out. Especially true if you use some (but not all) ENB's. If your shot is too wide, type in FOV...(Field of View) and enter a number smaller than 85. That is the number of degrees in width. Default is 85. Mind you though, this also magnifies the image anywhere you look, and any rotation will move very fast.
You will If you want to do close ups of something, I suggest using a FOV under 35. Use your W A S & D keys to move the camera around. Once you get your camera set up, you can then hit TM so you get a clear shot. You will be pleasantly surprised how quickly you get the hang of it.
Any other questions feel free to ask, there are plenty of screenshot experts around here.

I guess I didn't make myself clear. I understand how to do a photo shoot of the settlement. One of the moderators of this forum strongly suggested that I put my screenshots in an external photo service that would allow the judges to scroll through the photos.

I forgot if was Imgur or something else. He described it as a photo album that they could scroll through them in one go and not have to examine the photos one at a time with the native embeds of this forum. Easier to see them in all their 1080p glory I guess.

If I misunderstood or they have changed their minds since I guess the moderators will comment in this thread. My memory is a little fuzzy on this, after all it was at least three months ago.

Alright, I understand. For that I use Flickr. You do have to set it up, but the platform is pretty good. One thing, if you do go over 1K images, they will not let you use the site unless you pay for it.

I finally figured out how to access my past messages. Uituit said that I should use the photo icon to post the pictures instead of embedding them the way I was. The problem is the photo icon only accepts URL to the pictures and I could not get it to accept anything from my local PC.

The 1080p pictures come in between 500k and 750k JPEG depending on how well they compress. I will do some research on ways to get the pictures a URL. I still have a couple of weeks. Worst comes to worst I could dump them into the Dropbox, OneDrive, or Google Drive public folders I guess.

The good news is the Marina is in fairly good shape and I could post it today and not be too embarrassed. I am hoping that some thing better comes to mind in the next week though.
