The add on packs? Do they come with kinggaths updates or do they need downloading separately? And are they on xbox? (Someone will ask might aswell be me).

download separately. At the moment the only ones that are on xbox are Bad Neighbors, Bad Neighbors Slumlord and Ruined Homes and Gardens.

Thank you got them added. If we can get the add on authors to post on this forum when released and for what platforms it would be great

I'm offering to allow add-on authors to actually have their own subforum. So far Altairp and MrJoseCuervo have taken me up on it.

@kinggath are you hoping to move most of the support over to here? I've been tracking the base mod on Nexus and it can be a bear weeding through all the posts to find any useful info.

Yeah - the plan is to ultimately move everything here. There are too many sites and pages to check right now, I want everything under one roof.

Speaking of updates... I do not know if this is true... at one time, the general comments I had seen at times between MA's was that a game shouldn't have more than 3 or 4 mod updates from a particular mod. Can anyone say if this is... was... or just urban legend... is true?

I ask this as I also incorporate this with Horizon survival mod... and with all the ongoing updates, I don't get far into the game before ... the 3 or 4 limit is hit... or can I depend on the IBB ongoing?

Or perhaps, slow the versions?? HAHA... more meat per update?

Thanks,
John

I personally update every time before playing. updates will not break your game unless you didn't follow directions and pay attention to requirements. Always update because updates tend to fix stuff

Sim Settlements and its add-ons should not cause any errors in your game from multiple updating. This can not be said for all mods and you should look into all info you can on any mod you update. Also if you are not sure about updating a mod, make a backup save before updating. Like Kevbal said, it's generally a good idea to update your mods as they usually are there to fix issues that have reared up that the MA didn't forsee.

For Sim Settlements and all the SS add-ons incorporated into your game, they should be updated to the latest versions. This fixes issues and includes new content. If you find one of the plots messing up, the IBB is there to fix it. Or if you have more than one plot, or have updated more than one add-on, use the update all plots option in the holotape under tools [do this in all your settlements affected].

Yes, of course. Seems like I am updating everyday. Sorry for my odd bit of humor... my only intent is that I have how many addon packs... and more coming... and updating everyday before playing, while not difficult or laborious, it is becoming like grinding for scrap. Haha.

Good thing for mod tracking on nexus since NMM fails miserably in mod update notifications. As far as other mods, I just started a new game simply because I saw the Unofficial Fallout 4 Patch had an update... so, yes, I am aware of other mods and how to update.
