Announcement: Rise of the Commonwealth

So, for those of us that have scrapped everything in our settlements already... Is there a way to reset the cell so all the vanilla items come back?

I'm fine with self destructing my settlements, i just don't really want to have to go through all the quests again.

Also, noticed the "resource sharing" in the trailer. Alternate provisioner system?

I don't know of any way to get things to come back except....

Could start a new game, go to the completely vanilla location

Export the entirely vanilla location via transfer settlements including vanilla objects

Import into your current game.

Should work as long as you don't mess with your modlist in between export and import.

OMG, You had me at indoor plots. I literally screamed. Literally. You sir, are flipping EPIC.

ALMOST as epic as the Darth Vader entry in the ORIGINAL Star Wars movie.... que the music and the march of the Storm Troopers!

John

I was just starting a new minutemen/settlement/unite the commonwealth playthrough and I saw the trailer. Welp, guess I'm gonna do a brotherhood, non-settlement, kill everything playthrough until the 29th.

What about mods that alter the size of a settlement? Do those need to be disabled, or will the mod merely only build within the size of the vanilla settlement size (for things like walls, for example)?

Omg this is soooooo Perfect! I rarely take vacations (being an entrepreneur, you dont always have the luxury of taking vacations lol). For the first time in 10 years i decided to take two weeks of vacations straight and this happens! And my daughter been bugging me for weeks to learn to play fo4. This is Perfect!!! Cant wait!! Thanks KG and everyone working on this!

Expanded border mods should be fine :)

O wow this look amazing can't wait. Im using conquest mod for most of the settlement will this be a problem?? I have settlement in general atomic galleria and in front of diamond city planing to put one on red rocket by quinsie and the quarry I hope it will be ok...

Conquest prolly wont work with it since u can have conquest anywhere.
But I'm sure this could be done for other mods that add settlements in time.

The newest expansion for Sim Settlements, Rise of the Commonwealth is just days away!

To be sure I understand, I will be seeing settlers building their own settlement without me placing plots, but I can also place plots in addition or instead of? Or am I still placing plots no matter what?

I have watched the video 3 times now and I still saying no over and over again, it can't be real, the settlers doing everything like that.

This is just so incredible, can not wait, I thought it would be weeks away yet.

I thought it looked like that guard post thing put up a wall around it, is this going to kill junk yard fences?.

Only disappointing thing is being Aussie it means it wont be till the 30th my time.

No it shouldn't kill JT-Fences
well maybe at 1st when everyone forgets about the addons lol
and mod authors will be able to add to the xpac

So the future of the new addon will not be avelible for conquest, becouse you guys concentrate on existing locations and added unique future to it. But for example I have one settlement inside bowling alley(interior space behind loading screen) and was going to add northland diggers to it but now with your interior plots it will be perfect to use your mod to finish that space.

Hmm. Will these whole-city thing require you to assign at least a settler to build them? If it is just something where everyone helps along (aka, actually the thing builds/upgrades automatcially), this could allow settlerless plots, for things like wall pieces or traps.

I hope not.
Cool, I look forward to more of your work.

I hope there is more stuff behind questing.
