Announcement: Rise of the Commonwealth

Hey tankthing, quick question for you and the other original builders out there if I may? Was there anybody on the team who took a minimalist visual approach? Let's face it, some of the settlements are simply gorgeous. But even as pretty as they are, some of them are just... a little too much. For me anyways.

And I guess for anybody else who's reading this, are their any players who (like me) kinda want some of the farm type settlements to tone it down a little?

The directive was to go lush. The idea was to go over the top and make (mostly) functional set-pieces.

Ten Pines or Abernathy are about as minimalist as it gets.

When the tools are released for community designed settlements I will be producing a blueprint for each settlement that is along these lines; a functional and minimalist approach.
Abandon all building mods for compatibility reasons all ye who enter here.

@tankthing the settlement at Warrick did start filling in those spaces during level 1 and 2. One thing you guys may need to remember for the Xbox users is the more "clutter" and "lush" you make these settlements and rooms they are going to cause crashes like crazy for Xbox users. I got 2 level3 settlements I can't even get into past the gates now. At least maybe clear up the junk and clutter all around on the ground might would help.

For the record, even if they are nekkid and ugly, seeing chickens run around my settlements makes me absurdly happy.

Small question:
I did a manual update following the steps from the wiki, but in NMM it keeps saying i have versión 3.1.3. How can i change it?

There should be an option to update the mod tags. It is the icon that looks like a game controller with a curved arrow over it. Click on that and there is an option to update missing download IDs.

Though, honestly, you don't this at all. After a manual install, just go into the game menu's "mods" section and activate it from there.

Try out today's patch and see if that helps.

@tankthing I will be trying a fresh start with SS, IR, ROTC on a brand new XBOX One X this weekend, I just everything loaded up and a few places discovered the last two nights. Kinggath gave me some performance settings to also try out.

Thanks, but nothing changes despite doing that. The mod Works fine and it´s updated, it´s only that in NMM at the "mod versión" column" it keeps saying an older version. It´s just visual, but i don´t know how to fix it. I believe it has something to do with the fomod file

Hows this going? I'm about to start a new play-through myself with an XoneX. Interested to hear how this has been working out for you. If you posted results in a separate/new thread, please share.

@thefirebirdman it has been going great. No CTD, No Freezes. The only issues are related to the latest 3.1.6 update and it seems kinggath is already working to fix those. I have almost every settlement in the Commonwealth built using SS, IR, ROTC at level 2-3. Find the thread where kinggath posted the for Xbox testers for me to try and that's what I am still using and they are working great for me.

Would it be difficult to add to the city plan description something like: "This plan is for a self-sufficient city," or "This plan is mainly industrial," etc.? I like it that they're not all self-sufficient, but it would be nice to know before I commit time & resources that this settlement might need more baby-sitting than another until I get supply routes linked up.
