Am I just blind, or are there some missing tools?

It is entirely possible that I have just been blind and not seen what I am looking for, but I am lamenting the loss of the ability to highlight in different colors the homeless, and jobless. I also can't seem to find the SS1 style city report tool that let you know how many of each type of plot you had in your settlement. It is kinda of a pain manually counting homes and jobs.

There’s a tool for it that’s unlocked as you progress the main quests. In city desk tools pretty sure it’s something like vigor tracking or tracking something.

There is no such feature. Probably because the multi-homes (and their bugged count) throw it off.

I know the Vit-o-matic can tell you if a settler is homeless or jobless but I was hope for the old highlight thing that I used to just leave on all the time. That way i don't have to leave build mod to "use an item".

There is a tracking system for Homeless, Jobless and no rec plot. You have to go into the holotape tools-> tracking -> people. For some reason these tools are not in mcm. The tracking adds quest markers which I think is better than the old 'colored' settlers that were hiding or stuck somewhere.

Also note that for some reason the settlers assigned to the 'occupant' slot of the new multiRes plots show up as homeless when tracked or hit with the Vit-o-matic. I set the extra settler information popup window to a hotkey. (MCM) This way when you are tracking homeless, a quick hit of the hotkey will verify they are indeed homeless.

I also miss the SS1 tools and reports. I assume when things settle down on the hotfixing, we should start seeing these things ported over. I've been posting my wants (when I remember) over in the suggestions forum.

I have seen the quest marker. It just doesn't work for me. This my be my one true complaint about SS2. I have been loving it so far but I really don't like not having the highlights.

I can give you hope. When digging through SS2 in the creation kit,I saw references for ASAM vision. It seems to just need the activator code....

Nice! Now I just need to figure out how to get the Bethesda launcher to work so i can download CK again!

Theres a tool in the city planners desk and holotape for tracking. You have to unlock through gameplay
Yeah well I was not talking about tracking. I was referring to the plot report. Which was why I trimmed his post down to just the question about the numbers of plots. There is no such tool yet.

OH NO!!
I just finished the main quest (chp 1) hoping that it would unlock the ASAM vision ability but now I read this =(
So sad...I loved that ability, quest markers are nice for stuck/underground npcs etc as you say but that vision was perfect for finding people in a crowded settlement with 50+ people, especially when you ordered a town meeting.

I hope it returns on top of the markers.

There are toggles to summon homeless, unemployed, or provisioners.
