Question After 4.1.1 Every New Recruit Is Assigned As Worker

After 4.1.1 update I begin to play the minutemen faction after done all the available quests from Jammer. All minutemen recruits I got were assigned as worker. I also started a new play through. All my raider recruits were also assigned as worker.

After manually assign guard role and worrier role the total worker number count didn't decrease accordingly. Only the number count for guards, worriers and total population went up in both local level and at gang level. I end up getting a bunch of ghost workers who are dragging down my ration and wages need.

I checked my settings in both MCM and the holotape. Auto assign is on in both.

Hello this happens to me too but what all my raiders recruit now are guards,this is happening to other guys too what cant launch assaults beacuse their raiders are assigned to another roles and when they change of role they cant be launched in assault for some reasons and i think what @kinggath needs to see this post and see if maybe can fix it for the next update

I've noticed this as well. Like the new role and and the old roll are being counted simultaneously.

It seems to me, however, just to be a bit of lag in the HUD updating. It threw me for a while. Now, once I change any recruit's role or reassign plots, I wait just a bit and then go into workshop mode wait a bit again and exit. This usually forces the HUD to update and show the proper calculations.
 
ive had issues where they are not assigned a class at all and cannot be assigned to a class either.

The one time I had this problem, a recruit with no role option, I made sure that auto-change role was on and then manually assigned this trouble maker to a martial plot. It switched him from whatever unassignable role he was into a "guard" at which point I could then manually change him to other roles. I don't think this would have worked if he wasn't in an Outpost.
 
I'm experiencing this bug as well. All recruits assigned to plots become workers, doesn't matter if it's to a martial plot or recreational, they all become workers.
