"Abernathy Township" - Completed Entry for City Plan Competition APR 2019

Welcome to "Abernathy Township"!

The Pitch:
The Abernathy family is happy to have you visit and help keep the farm alive.
With a variety of activities, bars and even some housing opportunities, this up and coming settlement is worth stopping for.
While the farm isn't a large trading hub you can still grab some fresh home-grown supplies, enjoy a relaxing view of the Commonwealth or risk imbibing at the "Abernathy still", home of the latest brew to get you through the long nights!
Rent a space in the lower streets, work hard, earn your keep and you may just find yourself moving "up" in the world. Perhaps even to the upper street with a "Manor" of your own!
And if you're not a farming sort, travellers and traders are always welcome at the farm shop, the bars and the recreational plaza.
So don't waste your time trekking through the dangers of Downtown just to end up cramped into Diamond City, head North and expand your horizons at Abernathy township!

Thanks for hosting these competitions, I've enjoyed putting this together!

ORIGINAL POST: First time entrant but I have some plans for Abernathy I've always wanted to try.
Just getting everything set up with Project Blueprint on a new modded profile and then I'll get building.
Happy to finally get involved after just watching the competitions happen each month!
Good luck to everyone!

Thanks!
I assume we hold off on screenshots and stuff until the judging starts?

Mostly I'm checking through the project Blueprint stuff to see what I can build with.

EDIT: Also, when placing plots, would you say it's worth leaving them empty or letting settlers start to build them up?

You can post screen shots whenever you like, but you must edit your first post with 10 screen shots only of your L3 when you are finished.

You will need them to initially start a plot, nothing will build without them.
Personally, I spawn in settlers in groups of 3. I get residentials/jobs ready for 3, spawn them in and move on to the next 3.
As soon as they finish the L1 of each plot I immediately upgrade to L2 and once that's done I take it to L3. This way you can see how much resources you are going to need as you are building.

let your settlers build em up , gives you a better feel how they look in your CP ;)

For screenshots your final ten need to be in the 1st post u made here but its ok to post progress pics:)

Excellent!
Thanks so much for the assist.
More stupid questions, is there a command/setting to make plots level up faster?

I've only started using Sim Settlements in the last few months on my current play-through (Hence wanting to enter here finally) and as much as I'm loving it, I'm still super noobish with the systems.

EDIT: Just got an assist in a conversation before even asking the question! Such as positive community and amazing first impressions from you folks. :)

Extra screenshots that didn't make the cut for the "Top 10" to show off the settlement.
Enjoy!

I know right?
I may try an "off the books" Nordhagen city plan but I guess for now I'll go back to shooting super mutants and annoying the Brotherhood!

I've got something for you to do if you like.
You can test my defences from last months contest?
I'm thinking of putting it on the nexus once the voting is over so you'd be testing that it builds ok.

I can certainly give it a go my friend.
I assume you mean for me to install it and let it build up and then spawn an attack wave to see if the defences hold up?
(Not something I've done before so let me know if there's something specific you need)

Install it and manually bring it up to L3 then try take it for a outpost with raiders.
Only if it's not too much hassle for you, like if you had a save that didn't have coastal cottage already built.

I really like how you built out from the tower house.

Great work!

Thanks!
It's something I was going to work towards in my survival game but now I can hopefully have it as a city and let it do its thing in the background :)

Hmm... I was reinstalling all the city plans and came here to revisit the pictures to decide which I wanted. But your pics is all busted. Why for?

I swear.... city plans for Abernathy Farms just hate me. I'm using this one and now there's a fire in the house and what looks like a second recruiting beacon behind it.
