Increasingly ambitious.

  • A school. As it levels, it could produce a few kids and raise morale. (Moonbeam suggested this would make a good recreational plot.)
  • A construction supply company as a commercial plot. It would shorten upgrade times for both plots and city plans. They could also buy and sell tools, paint, wood, etc.
  • A themed set of western-style plots. Make your own little Deadwood. As they leveled, they could have balconies and accessible rooftops for snipers.
  • Plots that require certain points in the main quest to have been reached before they become available if this is possible. And what about levelling? Could a plot upgrade be tied to quest progress, rather than time and materials? I was thinking about faction-specific plots that would have branching upgrade options based on character choices in the story. For instance, a Railroad plot that starts as a Tourist Waystation, levels to a Synth Safehouse, then either a Synth Retraining facility if the Railroad survives, a Synth Reprocessing facility if the Institute survives, or a Synth Interrogation facility if the Brotherhood wins.
