“End of Beginning” not starting / initiating.

Hi Sim Settlements community! ⁣
I would appreciate any advice. Some other members encountered the same problem but I couldn’t find an existing thread dedicated to it.

The quest “End of Beginning” will not initiate. It’s has been many in-game days. Below is my situation outlined as well as my experience with CPD. I suspect it may be related to main quest bugs.
⁣
Here is what I’ve encountered:⁣
-I successfully completed dialogue with all 4 main factions regarding the recruitment miscellaneous quest. My quest markers successfully disappeared after recruiting factions but the quest is still present in the miscellaneous section. ⁣
-I completed all nightingale quests.⁣
-I have completed all concord quests.⁣
-Jake is silent and won’t talk. ⁣
-Lupa and Ron are in Diamond City and won’t talk to me. ⁣
-tried using Holotape to force start the quest but nothing happened. ⁣
-I am currently on version L⁣
-CPD: I completed the first quest for each officer but I can’t progress any further. They refuse to engage in dialogue with me. Do I need to complete “end of beginning” before I finish their quest line? Come to find out, they can be recruited but they are not giving me the option to do so.⁣
⁣Edit: I completed Calebs final quest and I was able to progress further into CPD but still no “End of Beginning”.
I would appreciate any advice. I am trying to avoid using the holotape to skip this quest because I suspect the battle is epic. But I have been stuck here for about 3 weeks. I am so excited to see the HQ content! ⁣

I stopped playing in February hoping this would get fixed. I'm pretty savvy with FO4Edit... But I could not figure out the issue. I even reinstalled the base game, though, it's the goty edition, so I'm not sure if dlc would be to blame. I've never seen an issue that affects so many people that lasts this long without a dev hammering it out. If I ever get some time, I'll try to figure it out.

Sometimes the setstage part of the cheat menu works when the force start doesnt. If those dont work you might try using the manual console command to advance the stage. Just make sure to save first so you can reload if it doesnt work.

You should be able to request the CPD come with you to the mission - so it shouldnt be holding you back.

I had the same issues as you took me about 3 hours to figure it out.
I typed into the console ‘setstage SS2C2_Sirick_MQ22 5’ and it started right up.
