Fixed Scav Support stuck on endless build

I just tried to set up a Scavenger Support plot and it keeps "building" the initial build with the scaffold and desk. It won't move on to the actual structure. I'm on the newest SS 3.1.6a. Other plots are working fine: IR Community Well; agri plots. I tried refreshing the plot and the local data - no difference.

I am also having this problem. I thought I was going mad. At least now I know it's a shared hallucination.

Thanks everyone, I'm going to try to look into the cause of this tonight, probably a change in one of the SS scripts I use to either modify the plot type or determine the current building plan.

Hello all, found the problem, there was a slight modification to one of the functions I utilize (expected on a project updated as often as SS is :P).

I'll work on getting the patch uploaded tonight

I'm having issues with the CK, so it looks like this patch won't be until tomorrow. Sorry folks :/

*:sad Thanks, mytigio. Let us know when it has been posted! (And on Beth.net as well!) Appreciate all the work!

0.9.4a is up on Nexus, fixes the bug that was causing the scav support plot to loop forever as well as the bug that was causing the Interior version of the Scav Team Dispatcher to not recruit properly. Edit: oh, and technically adds a leader in, mostly because she was already ready for release, but it's just one, I'll add more soon their quests just weren't quite ready

Working on the xbox upload now.

0.9.4a should be up on XBox now, if someone can test and verify everything appears to be working, that would be very helpful

OK, this is fixed -- but it appears to have spawned some other issues:

  • I'm having difficulty assigning someone to the plot. Essentially the first few times I assign someone to the plot, the settler switches to another random unassigned plot and starts working that one instead. Sturges was the worst -- I had to reassign him to the Scavenger Support plot five times, but so far I have to wind up reassigning the settler at least once.
  • There's still some irregularity with the building animation. Essentially it sets up a scaffold and does nothing. Then the scaffold disappears, and the plot goes blank. Then it flashes the message that someone has built an industrial plot. Then the scaffold reappears and it builds the L1 plot. After that everything works fine.

But it works! Which is good. I hadn't realized how much I depended on this one. These oddities are annoying but they can be worked around with persistence.

My code doesn't have anything to do with assignment at all, so that one might need to go in a different pile.

This is normal. Basically what is going on here is there are actually multiple plots. the scavanger support plot, spawns a pencil, which checks what you are eligible to have, and then changes the plot to a new eligible plot (similar to how you would select a new plot via the ASAM sensor). What you describe seems to match this series of events perfect, so I believe everything is working as expected.

@mytigio I have two issues:

My plots STILL don't finish building. (latest version)
No settlers are showing up even though I have recruitment beacons and fulfill recruitment conditions.

Update- plots took much longer to show up but they did and recruitment did start; however, I still cannot recruit through the default beacon. Could this be the culprit (kinda doubt it)
