Question Do I have to activate something in-game to get this mod to work???

Is there something in-game that I have to activate to get the workshop framework to work, like finding those beacons tape in the museum where Preston is at???
is the script extender required???
I ask because in that 5 hour long live stream video of workshop frame work, NONE of those features are present in my game despite the mod being installed.

I know the mod is installed because I have the settings tape in my pipboy for the workshop frame work and I can set options in it, but none of the options change anything.
In the video, Gath was able to fly around, I cant do that.
In the settings tape, I set the 'MAX FOOD PER SETTLER' to 10 and also 20, and he still farms only the vanilla 6 food altho there more than 6 food on the farm, lots of unassigned food nodes on the farm.(vanilla food nodes, corn, mutfruit, ect)
NPCs in all the pre-made settlements from conqueror just stand around in one location and dont do anything until they enter combat, and a bunch of other weird stuff that directly correlates to the mod itself.

I've downloaded the lastest version of all your settlement mods as i've just started playing Fallout 4 again this week after an almost 2 year break. Sim settlements all in 1, workshopframe and conqueror.
I dont have script extender because the lastest version of F4SE is not compatible with the newest version of Fallout 4, which was updated a few days ago, thus, I dont have access to MCM mod menu. So I know the hot key, layers, ect features wont work, so im not talking about those specifically.

Ive put the frame work.esm after the unofficial patch.esm like the instructions told me to.

The only settlement mods I have installed are

as you can see most of them are sim settlement mods.

Ive tried playing around with the load order, but since they are .esm, I can only switch them with other esm file types, and that didnt seem to do anything.

So I dont know what's going on. So Im guessing there was something I was suppose to do first.

Not WSFW. You need Workshop+ for this: https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/35005/

My only experience with this is I have had it set to both 18 and 24 food per settler for use with the Apple Trees mod. These trees each produce 6 food. But settlers will only auto assign to one tree and I have to manually add the extra trees to their work load. This leads me to believe settlers can farm more than the vanilla limit via the WSFW setting, but will only auto assign to up to 6 food.

That being said in my Outposts unemployed recruits auto assign to just one plant regardless of the WSFW setting. If I have 6 mutfruits planted, a recruit will only auto assign to one plant. I've had the experience of finding 6 recruits each working one mutfruit instead of one recruit working 6 plants and leaving 5 unemployed.

When I manually assign the settler to another node outside of the original 6, the settler unassigns all the nodes and then re assigns himself as many nodes up to 6 food again including the one I told em to assign. Doesnt matter how many times I assign him, it always ends up being 6.

Welcome to the forums! So I run the apple trees mod as well, and you are better off using them as decorative pieces for the time being. The vanilla setting for the trees generate only 6 food per tree. I've managed to harvest only a single crop with an assigned settler, and then the settler unassigned itself. One other thing you may or may not have noticed is that the assigned settler works the tree from INSIDE the basket.

@ bullyrook is indeed correct about using workshop +. But you will also need the MCM (Mod Configuration Menu) mod for it to work. https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/21497

Have you tried testing it the other way? Lower the amount of food a settler can work, like just 2 food worth of plants. What happens then? Does she still work 6 food worth of plants or what you've set it to?

Another test might be to see what happens if you approach things from the defense side. If you raise the defense provided by any one settler, can you get one settler to work more than 3 vanilla guard posts?

This test would help determine if your problem is with WSFW broadly or just with the food worked configuration specifically.

@parrotheada1a Love that mod! It was working fine for me last time I played.

But, I don't want to go to far a field from @Dre 's problem since I don't think he is using that mod.

I only brought up the Apple Trees because, since each does count as 6 food, it's the sort of mod that lends itself to upping the max food worked per settler in WSFW. I had one settler working 3 or 4 trees producing 18 or 24 Food all by herself. So the WSFW settings were working for me as of last week. I was able to harvest all of the trees so worked. I did have to manually assign the settler to each additional tree after the first but I had no trouble with the settler unassigning from the trees.

I dont have that tree mod, Ive never even heard of it until it was mentioned in this thread.

Hmmm, great suggestion, I didnt think to try it the other way around, nor did I try the defense since I use turret instead of humans. I will have to try these suggestions when I next decide to play again.

Welp, so I tried it and its still the same, no changes outside of the vanilla assignments regardless of what I set the limitations to.
Welp, I guess i'll just have to deactivate the mod and find something else. Thanks for the assistance.

Suggested troubleshooting procedure:

* start a test game
* have the following mods installed:
** Fallout 4 Script Extender
** Mod Configuration Menu
** Workshop Framework
** Workshop Plus

Can you fly in workshop mode in Sanctuary?

Can you toggle options and have them work?

Total time required: less than 1 hour.

Note: The latest version of Workshop Plus requires that you upgrade your game to the latest version. If you are still running an old version of Fallout 4 you will need the 1.05b version of Workshop Plus.
