Introducing Yagisan's Hardcore City Plan Calculator.

This calculator will help you plan your city plan (or general playthrough) to run using the SimSettlements 2 hardcore mode.
It covers all settlements, all plot types, many vanilla objects, and was fully reverse engineered from SS2 by myself.
It has spent the last few months being aggressively tested by city builders on @Karvoc 's discord.

Some important notes. This spreadsheet is too complicated for Google Sheets. I created it in LibreOffice (free download)
The spreadsheet is attached to this post as a .7z file. You should download it, extract it, and make a copy before you edit it.

There are a few caveats, you should be aware of when using this.
  1. It can not account for dynamic needs. Please turn that off in your city building profile. It is fine (and encouraged) to use in a playing profile.
  2. It does not account for settlers providing extra output based on SPECIAL stats.
  3. Some addon plots provide "extra" resources. Those are not accounted for. Only the default resources are calculated.
  4. I can only fix bugs in the spreadsheet, not the SS2 mod. I had to reverse engineer all of this. That is the very definition of "not fun".
  5. It does not account for Wasteland Reconstruction Kit non-plot object costs. Only Vanilla + DLC non-plot objects.
  6. Vanilla food objects were omitted as they had no upkeep cost.
  7. I last checked the values in SS 2 1.0.14
You just need to edit it here - and the rest automatically updates.

Here's a quick example settlement. Only 6 settlers - one per building.

Now upgraded to 10 settlers.

It should be reasonably intuitive to follow.

The Empire Overview will sum up all of your settlements. Assuming that they are all connected via caravans, as long as this is all green, you have enough resources.

If you find a bug in the sheets - let me know. Copy and paste does work, if planning multiple identical plots.

This may be a silly question, but my skills at making custom entries in databases withered away the last few decades....
Is there a way for users to add items to the 'Chosen Plots" list ?
I understand that I would have to figure out the "Upkeep and Output" amounts.
There are a lot of different items I like to use that are not base game.... turrets, power sources, ect.
A blank templet or something, that we could enter the values into and then save as a new entry that will then be in the drop down list.

Not as such at this point. That's actually the spreadsheet from hell - it's in no way a database.
I would add the closest vanilla object as a workaround for now. It's quite a bit of work to add additional items to the database. Especially non-plot items, as I haven't reverse engineered the formula that SS2 uses to assign costs to them.

Speaking as someone who loves creating spreadsheets (oh Excel, I love you so), I am quite impressed.
