Anyone planning on getting this?

I'd love to hear how it handles Fallout (and Sim Settlements) compared to the original.

I've been playing Fallout (and Sim Settlements) on the X. It works and looks great, which is not surprising since it has something like a GTX 1070 equivalent. Fallout support dynamic resolution on the X, so you can see it kick into 4K in the interiors, while outside my guess is that it going at 1080p/30fps, maybe faster when you're not downtown.

As far SS is concerned, I've only been messing with RotC for the last few days and it's fast. No slowdowns, the foundations get laid down in a minute...

What's the bottleneck on Sim Settlements? I presume its more on the CPU than the GPU. The Xbox One X is only about 25-30% faster on the CPU, I think.

On the issue of Xbox One performance, Bethesda's solution to densely populated areas is to use lots of interior cells. Would it be possible to turn some of the plots, especially the residential plots with doors, into interior cells? Probably impossible or just way too much trouble.

I am as well and agreed

The bottleneck is really the engine itself at this point, especially on the newer hardware.

I have been playing on the Xbox One X and I have been experiencing crashes with normal game play. I was doing the main quest and periodically I'd get a crash. I can't say if its due to the RotC mod or not but I only have workshop mods besides that one like workshop rearranged and USO. I have about 6 cities running with RotC and I've noticed random floating lights or wires that don't connect to anything. I'm not sure if that is by design though and possibly through upgrades they will come together? I also started mid game, I'm really thinking of creating a new play through without my building mods because RotC does it all for me. Any suggestions?

Some of those are related to a known issue with the export process picking them up and will be purged on one of the upcoming updates
We will be revisiting once that happens and see what we can see.
