Where there's smoke cut scene stuck

Jake is talking to Aiden and we get through to the part where they show the gunner leader and Aiden says that we might have trouble talking to him since he's dead. Every time I go through, the dialogue stops there. Sometimes it cuts from the body to me or Jake or Aiden, but it just sits there. I kind of have this problem talking to Jake sometimes, but since I can move around a little I can normally get the text to show up. But since I'm frozen in place I can't this time.

I've checked out the forums to see what other people have done. What I've tried so far: I made sure that the dialogue camera setting was on, I tried unequipping scoped weapons and carrying melee weapons, I double checked my load order so it's the officially suggested one, checked for conflicting mods, and updated all of the mods.

I'm on a windows 10

Thanks! I really am loving this new version of sim settlements. It gives such a sense of purpose to the game and I really don't want to miss any of it.

I don't see anything in your mod list that jumps out at me. You could try disabling Old World Radio and all the associated plugins though its a longshot. I'm not familiar with Unicorn_Farts_And_God_Rays.esp. You may want to see if there are any issues posted on the Nexus page.

FYI- If you have no weapon or a melee weapon equipped, the game will equip the first ranged weapon it finds during the "meet Aiden" scene.
 
I guess I spoke too soon. Now it's just crashing to desktop when I try to load. I was able to play a bit farther, did the Old Paul sleeping dog quest and was starting Grey Matters. It was going really smoothly but now I can 't load the saves. Looks like none of the saves work until just after all of the where there's smoke stuff, when Jake stays. Could disabling the eyebots mess up the save? Or is this a whole different thing.
 
Putting this here in case it helps someone. I was stuck in this exact cut scene due to no dialogue options showing.

What I'm guessing fixed it for me was switching weapons, as the one I was using relied on See Through Scopes and custom animations: HK USP .45(New) With Tactical Knife.

I, in the end, didn't have to disable any mods.

Also, if you use Extended Dialogue Options(XDI) and have the Sim Settlements patch installed already, don't try disabling either. I think the patch puts script in your save file, so It will require XDI even if all related mods are disabled; unless you start a new game without it or some other method I don't know about/not about to try.

Can't wait for a newer game like FO4 that awesome modders can put something like SS and SS2 into, and that easily supports those mods. Both bring a lot to the game.
 
In case anyone is having similar problems, I thought I should just update. In the end I just decided to start a new save without Old World Radio at all and I was able to get through the first chapter with nary a blip. So, it's not definitively the solution but it worked for me. I guess if I miss the mod I'll just listen to on it their youtube channel in the background.
