What's the plan for the major update april 25th?

I'm assuming with the major overhaul that's coming april 25th, its going to ruin SS2 as we currently have it for quite some time. Hopefully it'll be a relatively easy fix to the mods so that we can still have, use, and build our favorite settlements with our favorite settlement mod.

But is there any word? The forums seem pretty quiet this year.

Given that we don't know the specifics of what the "Next Gen Update" will actually do, it's impossible to say what'll need to be fixed without seeing it first hand.
(if anyone does know, they're likely under an NDA and CAN'T tell us anyway)

The best estimates I've seen from people whose word is trustworthy is that SS2 will likely only indirectly be affected in any significant way; F4SE is the bigger concern, and that's not hard required for SS2. But until it's actually out, nobody can say for certain.

I use mods for my settlements and SS2 so until i know my mods are going to be ok or updated I turned of the update on steam and just run fallout 4 through F4se. i wont update FO4 until i hear things are looking good

Well, given the next gen update broke the base game, development tools, and for some of us, all access to the creation club - it may be a while before there are new updates.
