Question Way to know if city is ready to upgrade in RoC

Is there a way to know that city is ready to upgrade without visiting it? some notification mb? I have my settings set to manual upgrade, so its kinda important. Also i want ot know if its possible to check % of upgrade from a distance, i.e. not by visiting town.

yes there is a way to add the city plan notification in the holotape.

I am not near my game computer so can’t remember which submenu and haven’t used any notifications for a very long time. Still, it is there you just might have to dig around for it.

Well i have another problem, now my city is ready to upgrade (100% of progress and scraps), i even have the marker which tell me that. But i dont have an option to upgrade city at my desk. What can be the case? Maybe not enough time has passed?

Looks like you have to assign a leader for upgrade option to appear, despite that i turned off leader's requirement. Oh well....
