Native British, so can voice a Mr Handy or any other British/irish voices required.
Are you still looking for people? I have a decent headset mic, but no plosive shield.
ETA: I can also access a proper sound booth through my public library.
@Fielran Yep, still looking for people. We have lots more content in development even after next week's expansion drops! Send in your samples, and we'll see if we can get you set up. : )
I sent in an audition, but it was right around the time of the expansion launch. Let me know if you need me to resend it.
@Fielran - Thanks for following up on this, the last month has been pretty frazzled. I'm not positive if I received it, could you resend just in case to firstname.lastname@example.org?
Are you still focusing on female voice actresses or do you need any male actors?
We have several roles for Black or Latino male voice actors (doing our best to avoid white-washing the whole project, though almost all applicants have been white - so it's proving difficult so far), otherwise, yes just female.
The exception would be if you can do particularly good Super Mutant, Ghoul, or any of the robot voice impressions.
Long time, no reply but I just sent a Ghoul audition to your specified email. Hopefully it's up to your quality standards!
I've forwarded it on to the sound team to see if your equipment is up to par and if we have any remaining ghoul roles. I'll email you back if we've got something for you.
Thanks for sending it in
Hi, I sent in my audition, I did a take on all of the scripts.. I hope I did it right, if you need I can redo it, I would really like to be involved
I redid them all, because I am pretty sure I did the wrong format before. I hope you got them?
I sent them to the email
I was wondering if you are still in need of any female voice actors. I just did a voice over for a Fallout 3 mod-- 2 characters in fact. I'm just learning how to do this but I do have a good mic and can supply the necessary audition if you are still looking for someone. I'd love to volunteer.
@Zed Linger I'm assuming you asked just so you didn't end up wasting your time if he's no longer looking. I'm also going to assume that Kinggath does still need female voice actors because the thread is still active. He deactivates threads he no longer needs assistance with or reactivates old threads as needed (as an admin I can see them still so I know his process).
The first post of the thread has directions on sending in auditions. Thanks!
Yes you are correct, and I appreciate your getting back to me. I put a lot of feelers and didn't want to post an audition if it was a finished project. I will go the appropriate route and send in the audition, thank you very much.
Former actor/director here. Can do lots of dialects, accents, and impersonations. Have voiced plenty of characters as a GM/DM over the years. What I don't have is professional recording equipment as I've never pursued VO acting, but I'm willing to offer my abilities in support of SS expansions!
Hello, guys. I'd really like the opportunity to do some VA for Sim Settlements. I'm actually planning to get a decent recording set up once I settle into a new home, as I'm interested in doing it full time, as a career. I've gone over the scripts and will record later today, but my setup isn't the best, yet. What I'm wondering is, are there any VAs using the Discord server, at all?
@Dan Webb - Once someone is approved for the project and given a role, we generally bring them to the development Discord. You definitely need good equipment to be approved though. We're trying to avoid the normal mod trappings of bad sound quality.
Thanks, kinggath. My current setup seems to be working for me. A broadcaster told me my audio quality (microphone) is decent enough to work with, but I'll be upgrading for sure. Cheers!
I have a razor tiamat headset would that have a feasible microphone in it? I would love to send in a sample for a super mutant if it's still needed.
It's unlikely a headset will be high enough quality, but if your impression is good enough - we might be able to work something out! Supermutant voices are a rare and precious commodity!
