Primary Bug Report Vim and Vigor - Missing Patrol not appearing on map

I am at the quest stage to "Search for the Lost Patrol" and found a camp with two Gunners. After I cleared it out, I searched the area where I only found a green quest marker but nothing to check on. Don't know if it is supposed to be a clue or a body or something. Here's the screenshot:

Is there something that I am missing, or is this not the right location?screenshot.png

Yes there should be a body there with an item you need to pick up. I wonder if you have a save from prior to starting the mission, not sure what else you can do.

I don't think that will work. I've been on this quest for several hours. I did part of it at first and then did all of vault 81 quests and then went back to it. That is several hours worth of gameplay.

I don't know what I did to fix it, but I found an autosave to when I just left vault 81 and updated the Workshop Framework to version 2.0.4b and I made my way back to the gunner camp. This time, I heard some dialogue that I didn't hear before and got the thing back on track.

I also have this issue but the green marker does not show in game only on my map, I have had this quest for ages as i had not gotten to this corner of the map and have 6 days worth of gameplay since then. Is there anyway to force the quest to move on. Everything is updated I spent hours yesterday trying to figure this out I have been through the mod list to make sure no conflicts too.

Oh I hadn't thought of that, i will no clip down there and have a look. I took all my mods off yesterday and re-installed them to make sure they were the latest version. I removed two that were listed on here as having known conflicts and that's why I ended up signing up to make a post. Thanks for the good idea.

I had this issue before the latest patch. I loaded a save from before I entered the cell and approached from the water plant to the north instead of the bridge over the river from Diamond City. This fixed the problem for me.

Same problem, quest marker was buried in the ground. Almost rad-killed myself trying to find a clue under water. Im glad the SS2 team came up with the cheat thing.
