I am having issues when I allow a settlement to govern themselves. It seems my xbox cant handle it.
Does anyone have experience with Xbox Series X, does it run better?

I moved from Xbox One S to Xbox One X. I noticed a substantial improvement in all-around performance playing modded Fallout 4. I the processor in the One X is supposed to be faster than the Series S, from what I remember. Obviously no console is going to be anywhere close to as good as a high-end PC, but in my experience you can get significant improvement by upgrading to another console.

That said, I still have issues running Sim Settlements. I know I'm not commenting on the box you asked about (Series X), but I would guess you would see some improvement in performance if you made that upgrade, as long as you don't have some underlying issues with other problematic mods or your mod order, etc.

Also, what do you mean by "allowing a settlement to govern themselves"? Do you mean, like a settler stays assigned to a plot you assign them to? Because I have always had that issue even using vanilla Fo4 and I'm not sure if even the PC players a free from issues like that. I'd be interested to hear what everyone else has to say, though.
