Use tabs to sort plot types

There may be a reason it wasn't sorted this way to begin with and might be more complicated than I think, but couldn't each plot type in a category have it's own tab, like the normal trade menu?

For Recreational plots for example; the default tab is the "All" tab, like normal. Hit RT(or whatever it is on KB&M) and you're only looking at STR plots, hit it again and you're looking at PER, again and it's only END plots etc...

I find it cumbersome as it is since I have to go thru everything all clumped together. And that's assuming the add-on maker bothered to label it at all.

And while I'm on the subject, if we could filter settlers in HQ the same way when we're assigning them to departments, that'd be great.

So that trade menu is a normal trade menu, an invisible NPC is scripted to insta-Barter with you when you issue one of those commands.
From memory, for the Plots one anyway, they're all classed as Weapons, so there's not really an easy way to split them into seperate tabs like that. It'd be possible to do some sorting, the base game has that where you can sort by like DPS or Weight or Caps Value or whatever, but that'd require every addon pack author to agree on "ok all Power Armor Shops get the Weight of 1.1" kind of thing, and they'd have to all go back and edit their addon packs.

Using the sort by weight would work for me. I figured this was how it was set up, but I didn't want to make assumptions with my ignorance of how this all works.

I would think that adding a caveat like this quickly would be best asap while the number of existing add-on packs is still small. Leave the default weights at 0(or whatever it is) then set it up so future add-on packs can have it be just something you do when making a plot. If the makers of the existing plots get around to it, great, if not, they default to the "other" category.

I mean, something as simple as setting a naming standard for people using a 3 letter code like [STR] or [PER] at the start of the name so they could be sorted alphabetically would be awesome. Extra brackets for things like [EXT] or [INT] (exterior or interior) then [OL] and [OW] if they're oversized long or oversized wide.

Basically, on the list it would look like this:

[STR][EXT][OL] name of plot by [SSTM] someone smarter than me
[PER][INT] name of plot by [SESTM] someone else smarter than me
This would be an exterior strength plot that's oversized long(front to back) first, followed by a perception plot that fists the plot type properly.

Then it would just be a matter of being able to sort alphabetically.

For things like farms, power plants, defence, etc... Your first category would be [BASIC], [ADV], and [HiT]. Farms, for example, could have a second descriptor of [CORN], [MUIT], or [TATO] when they're specific or [VARYING] if there's a variety of plants.

I'd be willing to put a guide together, but my computer skills are basically non-existant so I wouldn't know what to do with it.
