Unpopular opinion - Skip the campaign and give us full access to Sim Settlement 2 features.

I know this is will be an unpopular opinion, but sometimes when I start a new play, I want to immediately go for settlement building and I want full access to plot categories and features. I just don't have the patience or time to go complete quests to unlock the plots. Maybe in the future updates, give us the option to skip the questline and give us full access to all of Sim Settlements 2.

Doesn't unlock add on plots that are locked by discovery or quests. And also for me doesn't unlock any SS2 base plot locked being discovery.

Isn't there a mod by kinggath on the nexus specifically for city builders which has plenty of convenience features like that?

There is but it doesn't just unlock everything for every settlement only the current contest ones and it doesn't handle the plot unlocking like the op would like. I myself would love a builders bubble that unlocks everything just for city building. Not for regular game play. I enjoy doing the SS2 quests if I'm actually playing. But if I am in city plan mode I want to skip everything and just go build a city.

Hmm... I know it comes across as an infomercial for ASAMs here and there, but then I've only started twice and gone through one playthrough to the end of a certain cliffhanger. Jake is charming and fun to hang out with, and the other characters have their own style that adds to the world in sometimes weird but still cool ways. Maybe I'm just a people person. :smile

Thats why that "Cheats" tab has several options. I used them on my own current test save and havent noticed anything missing - although it can take a moment for all the scripts to finish and properly populate all the lists.

You're right you can't however it Doesn't work for me to unlock all the plots.
agreed i found after getting the asam from olivia, that the next step would never begin, i went back to the hardware store, and the stranger is never there. it pretty much halts any progression.

IIRC, there is a wait of 2-3 game days between completing Olivia and starting the next Quest. You should get a radio message when its time.

I just found out after using the Cheats options to open up everything, you can "Disable" Justin or whatever his name is and he disappears forever. Completing the questline once is ok but having to do it again with how SLOW it can be is boring.
I've created a few new characters simply to build with it; both using city plans or building my own.

I love the story, and I love the characters. Jake seems to be the type of person that says "Ok, the world's a total dump right now, but it can be a better place". Hence, why he's giving the ASAM's away for free when he could make a bucketload of caps. Hell, when SS2 Part 2 drops, I might start a new playthrough.just to replay Part 1.

If you want to skip the quest line and get everything it's easy.
Spawn the holotape using the SS2 MCM menu.
Open said holotape. Cheats. Click every option (4 of them) and YES to them. Exit out and wait a few seconds.
Turn OFF Leader requirments for using City plans.
Turn OFF plot payment options.
Turn OFF Settler needs requirements.
Don't wanna waste time finding or buying more ASAM sensors?
player.additem 0D010A23 # (# is how many you want.) God mode doesn't use items.
Don't want to WAIT for slow, mental midget, lazy settlers to upgrade or find enough scrap?
There's a .bat file in Nexus mods that add 1000 of every scrap item.
Cf forceplotlevel x-1 (x is what level you want)
Must click on the plot(not building). Cf forceplotlevel 2-1 then ENTER.
1x1 and 2x2 upgrade fairly fast but 3x3 take longer.
GO CRAZY.
