oh no!
You can't modangle z 180 a turret cos it'll be right way up when the city plan builds!

Yeah im in my first test build (already a couple clipping issues i didnt notice until afterwards too, and build limit weirdness).

But yeah, turret was right way up again.

Going down with the ship?

so far it's only vanilla turrets, everything else modangle'd seems fine

So I exported what I had built, it's not a city plan, just kind of a L3 export.
Everything is how I placed it, I even threw in a turret for good measure..... 20190409161658_1.jpg

2 things that might help you out:
You can nudge the angles of objects in Place. It's much better than using the console, especially if you are working across the 3 axis simultaneously.
Now I'm not 100% on this, but if using cmds it should be setangle instead of modangle to make it permanent.

hmm..might be able to do test run on that I already replaced the upside down turret tho

I wonder if there is an issue with a turret, is it maybe if that they are more like an animated character than most pieces we are putting down. I've used plenty of items that have had angles altered using modangle or place everywhere and I haven't noticed any issues. Thinking about it, I have myself used, and also seen in others city plans, turrets tilted to match an angled surface. Not upside down mind, and I think I've only tried that using Place Everywhere's change of axis, but if it works with a 20 degree change I'm not sure why 180 wouldn't work. Might make for an interesting experiment.

To put this to bed.......

I did it with Place because I don't know why anyone would be using the console for angles when Place is far, far superior.

Yup watched the video tute on it, and stuff.

didn't work.

So im just playing around with it all now.

In the end, I just decided that the spotlight turret wasn't really necessary, and replaced it with a power thingey.

Put a turret on the entry, where the player fast travels to instead.
