Tips: Nice building tutorial videos with no mods: Some S could be built without SS2 really.

I write this tip here as I guess all of you just love to edit your settlements, right? ;)

I have watched F4 videos every weekend for 5 month and I have never seen these nice and extremely pedagogic building videos until today and they made me think; does all settlements really be SS2 or maybe combined with the tips from this series?

Do not get me wrong, as I do like the chaotic builds that we see in so many SS2 building plans and I try new ones out almost every weekend until I find some that I love.

Lets peek at the video series and I add more thought below the video.

These videos are old but the owner of the channel, has so many nice tips and he do it in a nice and slow tempo and are very pedagogic and he have a lot of nice and odd ideas and his channel called Skooled Zone is filled with videos since 10 years back and even if some are old, they are still valid. I bet he is a teacher in RL. His designes differ a lot from what we see in SS2 as they are sometimes bigger and very clean and I do not say that small, dirty, broken is bad, but does everything need to look broken and tny? ;) I will test some bigger indoors tips in a couple of settlements but combine them with a couple of SS2 plots as some are so cool that I want them in every settlement. :) This video series will keep me occypied for many weekends to come as i do not play the game during weekends as I am at many GFs flat then. ;)

I have read about all mods you do not recommend together with SS2 but I will toggle on "Scrap it all" in some settlements to make them extremely clean and than I can turn it off when I am done. Of course, we can disable everything with the console and markfordelete bit I really think Scrap it all is a better solution and it is a mod i guess that is safe to toggle on and off honestly and it worked nice so far... ;)

I used to watch Schooled Zone a lot before starting using mods. Did the old rug trick a few times lol. Most of it takes insane effort for little things (like 2 hours to set up a double ladder), which I guess is the point, and it's very impressive, but mods make it so much easier (like 2 clicks with place anywhere) and with more variety (and you can still bash your head against the wall to make something work like a few city planners and addon makers no doubt do). I wouldn't trust Scrap it all, Scrap everything etc tho (or some console commands that do the same thing).

Precombines/Previsibines are essential for FO4's engine to function properly - scrap mods disable those and thus cause fundamental problems. The more precombines you remove, the worse your performance will become and it will compound over time to absolutely wreck your save. Sure it looks great when settlement builders use it to create pretty settlements for youtube videos, but if they tried to keep playing the game after that they would have a bad time. There's a reason why using PRP - Previsibine Repair Pack - is one of the greatest performance boosters you can deploy to help the game's engine because it goes in the opposite direction of scrap mods and enhances them.

If you want an eraser for your settlement, use Raze my Settlement or Raze my Settlement - F4SE.
