Third Method of Recovering Severely Bugged Games that CTD (PC Only)

Gladius has dove deeper into save rescue than I ever have, so if he's unable to recover it - it's likely not recoverable.

Unfortunately, not everyone is going to be able to use all of the City Plans. Bethesda put in a build limit because they knew their game engine could struggle with large amounts of items, and even the optimized City Plans go over the build limit by a fair amount.

My experience has been, that once you start crashing from City Plans, that's a sign that your PC or mod combination are going to require that you stay within the build limit of settlements. For City Plans, that generally means you have to keep them at level 1 or 2.

His save Work perfect.But he Build something from SS in Tidings that cause CTD when the game try to load it.As i write with SS disable he can Travel in every Settlement and even direct at Tidings.In his save are a lot of strange things.First the Settlers if i Clean a Settlement he lost all his Settlers.Real never see that.I Clean a lot of Settlements but i never see that the Settlers get lost.Then the Tower Buildings that are full immune to any Cleaning Tool.Only Way to get them out of the save is to deactivate SS.I try until 5am in the Morning to find a Way to let SS ingame but to revert what ever he have done in Tidings but nothing Work.As he have over Build real heavy with SS in other Settlements i can understand he don't want to start again new with SS.For now he can go on with the game 1 Settlement is not important.Maybe some day i find out the way to cancel and revert only 1 specific Settlement to his Vanilla state.But until now i don't see a way

The only other thing he can try is to look if SS main Mod is the Problem or:
(11 -> 11) SimSettlements_XPAC_IndustrialRevolution.esp
(12 -> 12) SimSettlements_XPAC_RiseOfTheCommonwealth.esp
1 of that 2.If it 1 of that 2 he can make a recover with lesser damage.

@kinggath I'm not looking to fix this save. As I have said, I reverted to an earlier save. I'm offering this one up "for science." I get the feeling this is related to Far Harbor. I have not encountered this problem in any playthrough since ROTC v3.0.0, even one playthrough where I stressed the system by firing off 10 ROTC builds at near the same time.

I built mostly Raider Settlements with vanilla items and rec plots are what I have most of. 4 ROTC cities in the Commonwealth (Red Rocket, Egret Tours, Oberland & Hangman's using optimised plans) and 4 in far harbor. 4 Cities dedicated to playing around with Industrial Revolution, Sunshine being one of them.

First the Settlers if i Clean a Settlement he lost all his Settlers.

If you are talking Sunshine Tidings, I wonder if they went to Dalton Farm. I did notice during the lv0 stage (went there to donate scrap) the HUD listed something like 11/5 settlers. The trip prior I had only 2 settlers.

Thank you for the donation to science, msalaba - much appreciated. :) Your experience shows that it's possible to severely crater the game as is.

Quick update, Lvl 104 and have killed off the BoS. Next will be the Institute, then I can test some Castle plans re defense. This game appears to be fairly stable after the fix, currently the filesize is 56mb.

Same for me until now no game breaking bugs or missing things.Save is stable at 56 mb and no errors missing files or anything else that need a fix.Have Finish Nuka World and Far Habour with no Problems.Half of my Settlements are now Raider Settlements even there no Problems.

I rolled this playthrough to a save before I entered Far Harbor. So far I have not encountered any game breaking bugs. I have finished the main quest and most side quests in the Commonwealth. I'm thinking something in Far Harbor broke my save.

I did run into a glitch when I started the Open Season quest for Nuka World. My FPS held steady but my character would stop moving and become unresponsive. Fallrim showed no backlog of active scripts. It turned out that something glitched and triggered a settlement attack on all my former Nuka Outposts. Couple that with the More Attackers mod and that is a lot of characters. I tried sleeping a week in Home Plate. No dice. So I went on a Raider extermination mission. It was really buggy with random CTDs during these Outpost raids. I was limited to sniping from a max distance. I've never experienced anything like it. Long story short, once I cleaned out all the former outposts, things went back to normal and no more lag.

TLDR; I chalk all this up to Bugthesda engine limitations being exceeded.

Disable the group Att in the Option of more Attackers it cancel so most of the times the Att.You will see the Quest marker but if you go there nothing happen.After some time the Att ends alone or the Quest failed.More Attackers are nice i use it even but the bad side is it eat a lot of FPS and this calculate in real time to move so many NPCs make a lot of Laggs if not CTD if you do thinks to fast.To Avoid that i Build in every Settlement a Sniper Tower where i place over my Fast travel point.From there you can shoot on all in all direction with no need to move and if you build high enough only your Settlement and the near around get load.So you have even more time to let your PC load all before you have to fight.

My final update re my experience with this.

Current Sole Survivor Level: 116
Savegame Size: 56.4 megabytes

It seems to be very stable. Your mileage may vary.

Cheers!

@Whisper - Would it be ok for you to either put a version of this in the Educational vault, or for me to place it there.

I would prefer if you could, as when I copy and paste it, I get the likes and in my opinion, that is not fair.

Will do for you-all, cheers!
