Things I Wish I Knew... 120 Hours of Survival Gameplay Retrospective

I'm legitimately unsure if it's because of some archaic behavioral quirk or what but the basic Greygarden bots seem to stick to jobs no problem, even non-plot related food items when plots are down. I haven't stress-tested this, though.

IIRC the Greygarden bots are actually on a different faction from other robots. Kinggath has said his robotic settlers all stay assigned, so I wonder if it's some common mod like the unofficial patch that's breaking this.

Its a vanilla game issue. If you remove all your mods and play the game, Codsworth will only stay assigned to a caravan job.

it seems at least only codsworth is troublesome with plots? Maybe it's a follower thing. Though Preston seemed to be fine with a plot after he becomes available as a follower, but I rarely get far enough into the game to figure out if it's just Codsworth or some other NPCs are troublesome with staying assigned

Currie's robot form has this issue as well.

I have yet to find a use for Codsworth... The only job he kept.. even in vanilla game was caravan. I don't think it was Mod authors fault but just his programming.
Oh I agree, this is not from SS2. I think it likely, Vanilla Codworth probably has a script that runs daily in game that is removing him from his work assignment.
