Old Post The continuing saga of designing a Starlight City with ASE

With no response to a previous thread I have to assume that I am the only one here trying to design a city at starligh using All Settlements Extended. This makes it difficult to know if my problems are a) just me b) related to ASE or c) a bug in SS.

At the moment I have upgraded to 3.20a and I can now successfully choose a plot's building plan which wasn't working around 3.16. However, all my plots -level 1- do not have doors! Except Brian84's residential plots, so go figure! Refreshing plots does not put the doors back.

I have yet to resolve the problem of exporting the city to a blueprint and then, upon import, not having the planned scrappage between the vanilla and ASE borders take place. Hence my desire to find out if another ASE user has this problem, and if it was perhaps starlight specific.

I can also report that Industrial City add-on factories are not showing up as building plans using SS 3.20a, though I am at 0.94 version and there is a 0.94a which I shall try.

Sadly mytigio's interior industrial plots are still not showing, all I have are:
random
Ideks logostics
One mans trash

My mods are:

OK, using the console command to raise all plots to level3 (took a while) almost all plots have doors except Metal Prefabs (SS), also without doors but I can't remember if they are supposed to have them are the Pizza Parlour and the Pool Hall (WV2 I think).

Yeah, sorry! I've been trying to test. Real life is cramping my ability to set up a test in the area as was some save corruption. I am still planning on trying to see if I can duplicate the same issues or not. I've got a new game going now but will take a wee bit to get to where I can properly test (just had enough time to deal with the initial Codsworth stuff so far). Hoping to have a go at progressing tonight but we will see. Got to drive the kids around :)

Serving on memory from my last game though, I did not experience any of the above issues with doors at Starlight. Industrial City plots did show up as well in the list of plots. Don't know about any of the scrapping issues.

Most of the plots that I designed don't have doors until L2 or L3. I used it as part of the progression.

Ah, I will have to boot up and check but I think that some of the missing doors were not your plots. Since after boosting all to level 3 I still had a missing door on Metal Prefabs, can you confirm that it should have a door at that level?

They used to with me as well, then they disappeared and haven't come back, which is why I have posted my questions about Transfer Settlements, I want to try and (almost) go back to the beginning because I fear my problems may well be intractable. I shall report problems but it seems I may just be an outlier.

Ours normally don’t have doors at level 1 either. I think the Pizza Parlour never has a door, but I know that the Calvin Pool Hall does at later levels.

I wouldn't really worry about missing objects on plots. Those buildings are generated dynamically at run-time for the user. So any issues you're seeing either won't happen for them, or are a bug I have to fix. It will not adversely affect your City Plan in any way.

More reassuring stuff! Feeling better already.:)
