Hi! I'm wondering if anyone has a list of faction quests that it would be good to have done before I start War Is Good For Business? I am following the minutemen quest line and am also doing some of the railroad to get some of their tech. I ultimately want to finish with the minutemen and destroy the other factions. I do want to access the Institute. I am not going to touch the BoS. I haven't seen any yet, but I'm sure at this point they're already hostile.

I do have a list of quests for faction support on the Wiki, as follows:

Minimal Support (Ally):
  • BOS: Player has Knight Rank, which occurs when you first talk to Maxson (Shadow of Steel)
  • CPD: You are a detective (CPD Detective Badge obtained during Continuing Professional Development talking to Simon)
  • Institute: Agree to help when you talk to Father (Mankind Redefined)
  • Minutemen: You're the General (The First Step completed and accepted being the General)
  • Nightingales: Sunken Treasure completed
  • Railroad: Joined the Railroad (Tradecraft)
Support (Friend):
  • BOS: Player has Paladin Rank (Blind Betrayal)
  • CPD: BATDFL taken (Conquering Provincial Dwelling completed)
  • Institute: Institute generator is online (Powering Up)
  • Minutemen: Castle Taken (Old Guns)
  • Nightingales: Mass Bay Medical taken (Calling ER completed)
  • Railroad: Ready to take on the Institute (Underground Undercover)
Most Support: (This level of support will mean you've limited yourself to one vanilla faction, maybe 2 with the CPD and the Nightingales)
  • BOS: Player has Sentinel Rank (A New Dawn)
  • CPD: Quests completed (Catastrophe Prevention Drive completed successfully), Bounty Missions not required
  • Institute: Player is Institute Director (Nuclear Family)
  • Minutemen: Castle Defended (Defend the Castle)
  • Nightingales: Finished Quests (Angel of Mercy completed)
  • Railroad: Institute destroyed (The Nuclear Option)

I stopped going back to jake with those resource scan things for mala to pick up. Mala has been hanging out near big johns salvage yard for several in game months now while I get all but two settlements built completely, finish hanging out with all vanilla companions and take nick to far harbor and back, get all built settlements up to level 3 high tech churning out resources and stuff with a complete caravan supply system going between them all. I'm leaving murkwater and spectacle island alone until later on. I usually try to leave spectacle available for institute survivors after destroying institute with MM or BoS and maybe this time Enclave not sure yet. Because of SS2 and America Rising 2 mods I've logged almost a whole in game year in my save... something I don't usually do and I still haven't made it to nuka world yet.
