Solved Subdue outpost/vassal Quests unfinishable

EDIT: It seems removing the problematic NPC from the cell in creation kit allows the quest to complete without requiring me to even enter the basement... Hopefully there won't be any invincible ghouls that carry quest items or anything. But if anyone eles has this issue, know that it is one solution, follow this advice at your own risk; this NPC's ARE basegame NPCs and could be required for basegame quests.

I've had a problem with 2/4 attempts. For my first outpost I used Starlight drive-in, everything went fine. For the first Vassal I chose sunshine tiding co-op, however, the cabin in the back that sits up above the rest of the settlement housed a feral ghoul which cannot be killed. When it's HP hits 0 it just resets to full HP.

After a reload, I tried Telpines Bluff and had no issues. Now attempting to take coup manor as an outpost and keep captives, however in the basement there is a feral ghoul who again, just won't die...

Is there some type of work around? I can't use the ref ID to change it's essential status, and I don't think I'll ever find the right base ID just surfing through every single Feral Ghoul entry in the game. I tried turning off combat ai, disable/enabling, recycling, markfordelete and reloading, but I can't get past the unkillable ghouls.

In BOTH instances, there are other feral ghouls in the area, they ARE killable and they do NOT get quest markers for finishing off the settlement NPCs, only the unkillable ones get marked.

I've discovered that porting into the cell via coc from the main menu DOES allow me to kill the ghoul in croup manor basement, but I really don't want to throw away 10 hours of play.

It is a know bug and will be fixed in the next patch.
The only work around is to go there outside of an asault scenario and kill the ghouls, then when you assault they will already be dead.

Thank you for the information. I just removed the NPC from Croup Manor's basement via CK and is working fine atm.

Will just reload and go kill before starting the raids in future though now, so thanks for that :P

I can't figure out how to change the tag to SOLVED, I only have question or no prefix options... So I'll leave that for a mod to change!
 
I think only Moderators can change the tag to Solved for now. I'll get that for you.
