I made a thing! It's my first thing. So it's probably missing things to make my thing a great thing, but I hope it's a good thing!

Please let me know if a things isn't thingy right. First and foremost is to get this little baby mod of mine to grow up big and strong. I still have a lot of learning to do and I am committed to making Favelabulous a staple mod in people's load order.

Plans:
2.0 is just getting started and will include a fully randomized 2x2 Residential plot that holds 4 settlers and has a small courtyard in the middle for social gatherings. On the paperwork side of the house, 2.0 will be my attempt at mastering .esl flagged .esp files, compacting forms (whatever that means), and getting the .ba2 file updated as part of the release cycle. And I mean, comfortably and consistently doing this rather than uploading and saying 'oh crap' and going back to fix rookie oversight mistakes.

Once I get the second plot out, I want to make all the assets created (tons of walls and roofs!) available to players in a Workshop menu.

After that, it is sort of up to you guys! What do you want to see next in a favela styled mod? Once I get 2 Residential plots out, I want to tackle all the other plot types. Let me know what you would like to see next and I'll get to work on it.

I would be interested in seeing your take on an internal plot.
Your concept picture for your 2x2 was really intriguing and I can't wait to see it implemented
Also, great work on your 1x1 by the way!

Someone recently released an internal plot that had an 'outdoor' skin that included walls, roof and door. That really interests me as I could have various sized Favela homes / other plot types. SO much to do. SOO little hobby time (as I scurry off to fix my City Plan Contest entry Level 0 file).

Do you remember what add on this was in? I know it has been talked about on discord a few times but I haven't seen it implemented yet.

I’m always in favor of craming more settlers into less space and plots that do multiple things like houses 2 settlers and also makes them collect scrap or something. Other then that I’ve tried a few plots and enjoyed the randomness.

So I don't have cool picture making tools or skills but here are some WIP shots I was sharing with my mob buddy, Tinuvia. Pardon my writing with a mouse like a pre-schooler.
wip1 shows the layout in the CK. 4 doors, 4 cots, a little alleyway to get in, and full 1x1 for the interior courtyard.
wip2 shows where the new 3/4 and 1/4 sized walls will need to go and how they'll be used.
A cot, for reference, is exactly 1/4 by 1/2. So by tucking them into these little niches away from the doors, the settler can get in and have plenty of room for the animation markers.
Still have plenty of room for "a thing" per room, a crafting stove, some chairs and a table in the Courtyard. Excited to put it all together.
However, the random lists will be... many. Just the walls will have 14 random lists I think.

Looks amazing to me.
Not to throw a monkey wrench in your plans but i think it would be cool if you could randomize the courtyard between dirt/wood/stone/ect.

The Favela plots are designed to be stacked so no dirt or open sky. Now, I could tile the courtyard at L3 or something cool like that. Good suggestion.

You could also lift up the cots, add a ladder for each and then you'd have that floor space under the bed to work with as well, with kind of just the upper bunk of a bunk bed. I feel like that's more or less how humans would actually use the tiny space, even if it's just storage containers etc under there.

I find the animations used to get out of a high bunk off-putting. But cabinets above the cot are totally doable. And a suitcase under the cot.

That's what I would do. I'd raise the bed and put a couch under it for seating. It's how my small room as a teen was set up.

Ugh. the struggle is real. My 2x2 plot (just the core NIF which is just door frames) spawns in the game like a good little plot. The 1x1? Totally busted. I fixed the totally busted but now it's spawning in the wrong random lists for the current plot level. So Level 1 is getting all L2 random lists. I guess sorta busted is progress from totally busted.
:scratchhead

Crisis averted. The spawns data was scrambled. Quick upload using Pra's awesome tool and we're back in business.
Now onward to getting the 2x2 built.
Then tweak all the things so they're just a little bit better. I need to spin the L2 and L3 walls around so the icky metal tracks are on the inside, push all the things in a little more narrow and scoot some of the decorations around so they don't stick out of the building.
