Sim settlements - apartments

So the girlfriend and I were talking earlier, she had just found a floor plan for a larger city apartment complex and wanted to replicate it in F4.

As anyone who's tried this can attest to, internal walls are nigh-on-impossible to place properly, they won't snap for the love of cheesecake and if you want even a 4 story with say 4 apartments per floor, you just assigned yourself a month of fulltime work.
We landed on and agreed that the best option would be something like an apartment add-on, with a separate plot most likely for this.
Even with only like 10 base models and say 2 tiers with randomized clutter would make it a great experience and save settlements like Boston airport and enhance many places but f.x. the castle in particular

So my question then, would people like/want this? And how feasible would it even be?
None of use are coders or anything, but we could help out with models probably.

actually for building outside of SS, place anywhere allows you to handle inside walls quite well. But if you want more freedom with your blueprint try downloading the creation kit.

Thinking of this (I am no modder) would it be possible to stack the plots thus creating the apartment block effect, it would be great for the settlement with small build areas like oberland station

if you added snap nodes to your roof i suppose it would be possible but there is no way to tell what plot your going to build at random, the only thing you can do is cycle through after youve placed the plots. in order for it to work without a hassle you would need a new plot type.

Part of the issue here is some plots become two-story and kinggath has very little control over this because of the add-on system.

Definitely need multi-family. Sim Settlements is not going to provide 20+ plots at Hangman's without multi-level.

I am trying to build some plots that upgrade in quality instead of vertically to make for easy stacking. I am just starting to learn though, so it would be a while. Still not sure what to do about the power pole yet. However learning how to even create a plot seemed like a higher priority lol.

I managed to get ten plots at Boston Airport and was ablr to build my farms outside the settlement boudary (beside the river) using Settlemeny Borders Extended.

Workshop Rearranged also helps a great deal for building internal walls.

That's what I was initially thinking, thus the idea that this should be a separate type of plot

Anyways, glad to see there is at least some interest, and similar ideas, it could be a proper great feature imo.

@mytigio Wouldnt interial plot cover this, hence marked "implemented" ?

Yes, internal plots cover this option.

I imagine someone will eventually built a series of interior plot pre-fab buildings as an addon for cases exactly like this one
