Sim Settlements 2 & Skyscrapers?

Hello all, I haven't checked every add-on or what not but I was thinking it would be cool to be able to create functional skyscrapers for your settlements? I am thinking of something like some specific interior plots that work well with a building type? I personally get a lot of clipping issues with them. :(
Another option would be a city plan, or a prefab building with interior plots already inside it for SS2?
As a note I don't live in a city with a skyline, but I was thinking it would be nice to see one in the game :)

There are already mods which have some buildings like that. I think one of them is the superstructure pack. Another one from the back of my mind was an agricultural plot with room for an indoors plot. Can't remember which add-on pack that was from though. Check the (incomplete) list of available add on packs here: https://wiki.simsettlements2.com/en/customization/add-ons

Thank you, its likely that Superstructure one but I also downloaded some of the others for variety :)
Once the 4 story with the empty interior skin from Superstructures reaches L3 you can do some neat things with interior plots making it a very versatile plan. It is a 3x3 however so you need room. I have a neat trick using it and the 1x1 Dual Bunk beds plots from Bare Essentials you can turn a 3x3 plot into a 28 person Res plot.

Ohhh the bunk beds are so awesome! The bare essential mod gives so much freedom even turning prebuilt vanilla assets into nice SS2 buildings :)

The idea it itself is not bad... except you are seeing a bit too big considering you are on console. The bigger the buildings, the more stuff it has, the more the Xbox will hate it. But RobotsSmell did have some 2x2, three floors high, place for interiors on both sides on all floors for a 6 stories apartment building. But with multi-residential those became kind of obsolete. Or redundant? But I would agree that we could see interesting Buildings with interior space. Could be as simple as an interior store inside another store to give it the effect of having multiple stores sharing a building.

The one we don't need to see anymore is a residential in a commercial, to make it like a home and office in one building. I was arguing with someone about it in another threads months ago and someone flat out called out KG on it and he simply said "You know if you want a shop and a home, build a commercial and put a bed in it" which actually is really the easiest one there

This mod also has some ... massive structures available.
Please do not ever recommend this mod to an Xbox user. At least not without using a warning like '"Use at your own risks". Pretty sure it recommends using a program to remove limits that is known for making Xbox's crash and burn. And even if it didn't, I can tell you my xbox didn't respond well to me trying to make use of even the smaller plot so I never tried again.

I've built many of my own structures to house multiple interior plots. One had two 3x2 rooms side by side on the main floor with a pair of interior commercial shops in each. I then added a second floor with residential plots. These can be in a row, or in the same configuration as the main floor. Tons of options if you're building the main structure yourself and cramming interior plots inside. Even more if you use the 1x1 interior plots!

Of course if you build it yourself sky is the limit... euh no I mean there is a limit set by the game but it's still pretty high...

But I will maintain that this is an area where clever add-on makers can make some very interesting things and create plots and combinations that think outside of the box. I would certainly appreciate if more creators looked at it as an option.

I think "JTE" explicitly tells the users to NOT use a build limit extender or whatever. Anyway, I've used the plots for a while, it's a really fun addon and yes, there is a skyscraper in it. Another story is xbox performance, yes, but I feel like that's more linked to stacking plots on top of each other. I've been avoiding that (and by extension, building in multi-story houses) for a long time.

I have this and I could try to work on it next up perhaps. But had some perhaps bigger plans/ideas. I could do something with it sooner, although it may change on the interior cell after an update. Would that bother players much if it potentially changes substantially? Another route is doing a more reasonable setup for this, and fancier stuff would be for another new plot when the time comes.

Part of the big challenge for completing this is thinking up ways to keep this particular plot as Xbox One releasable. If I try to do it in short term it'd be a simplified version of what I would like. Most likely the interior cell & spawns stays relatively simple, so similar to the mall plot.
