Question Settlers Idle?

My settlers in several of my settlements (especially vault 88, as that's the only one I didn't use a city plan for) have a tendency to just stand around doing nothing. They're all assigned to different workplaces but when I fast travel there they all just cluster in one spot and don't move. Anyone know what the problem is?

Since you fast travelled there, the cluster may be the spawn point for them. Script lag may not have them doing anything.

I would travel fast travelling somewhere nearby and wait about 10 mins, then walk over to the vault. See what's happening then.

Thanks! It might have to do with the vault being an interior cell so there's really nowhere nearby to fast travel. The problem doesn't fix itself regardless of the time I spend in the Vault.

check to see if your scripts are backed up.

test in an “inactive internal cell”

Thanks @RayBo … I am not much of a "vault" guy.. and being an interior cell... eh...

The best I was thinking about is Home Plate - clear up scripts and then coc into vault 88 … I guess that is my idea of "walking"... :)

Whatever and wherever he try’s I would stick with your suggestion.

“Walk”

walking just may resolve it and salvage his save.

If I get a java heap space error, does it mean the save is corrupt?

Good Sir, I have never experienced that nor even seen a post of that issue?

Can you make a new thread so I can send it to kg, or so I can link it over on the discord so the really smart folks can look at it?

BTW, I absolutely love your bunkhouse helper plot!

I just re used the save in a game, re saved it, and all is OK. I think I stuffed up. Don't want to send people down a rabbit hole due to my stupidity! The fact its not been seen before, will most certainly be due me. Thank you kind Sir.
