Save Compatibility of the Main SS Mod

Hi all,

A quick question, since I'm getting conflicting info from googling this. Specifically, this thread here (https://simsettlements.com/site/index.php?threads/can-i-install-mid-playthrough.10452/) said SS couldn't be installed mid playthrough, and a new game needed to be started for SS to work, while most other discussions I found online indicate new save is not required. So I'm not sure if the info was simply outdated or I misunderstood some of the replies.

I'm plan to install only the main SS 3-in-1 and a couple of mega packs, but not Conqueror at this time. Do I still need to start a new game for it?

Yeah I'll definitely get SMM so that the SS objects can be properly categorized and easily accessed. I'll probably also get the hudframework, but I'll see if I run into any issues with injecting its hudmenu.swf to DEF_UI, as hudframework hasn't been updated in quite a while.

EDIT: just a quick update regarding what I said about injecting hudmenu file, apparently there's a DEF_UI pre-injected copy available for download on HUDFramework Nexus page.
