+ how long does it usually take for the sims to complete the first tier buildings? it's been at least 4 game days and everything looks exactly the same as when they started. did i build the plots too close or something? they're all connected to power.

++ any tips on recruiting more settlers besides recruitment beacon?

Are the plots getting assigned to settlers? Also, if you made Commercial plots, they require that you have a five level 1+ residential before they will build.

Per recruiting settlers, there are mods that offer other ways, such as Settlers of the Commonwealth. Automatron DLC also introduces repeatable methods to rescue new settlers.

yeah there are people constantly working on them but its just the same scaffolding as the beginning. makes sense why no one picked up a commercial plot.

thanks for the tip for recruiting... i just had to switch from spring cleaning to salvage everything because noooowww everything is reset and my sims are building buildings passing through other buildings! wee.
