There is an issue that I and others are having with shutting down the game to desktop after Conqueror reaches a certain level of set up. This issue persists after the code is finished running. We must ust task manager to shut down F04 from the main menu after we run a game with Conqueror. It only happens after the first phase of Conqueror set up is nearing completion or complete. We can exit to the main menu and save just fine. It is an annoyance but i worry that there is something deeper being effected. I am no modder, so who knows.

I've restarted the game with only about 40-50 mods and been watching for the issue. The game shuts down fine until some time around the end of phase 1(placing objects). There is no problem exiting to the main menu. It is only closing the game from the main menu after running a game with Conqueror (or the latest updates of Sim S and WF with Conqueror) that the issue appears.

I have not yet updated to the latest patch, but will do so now. Here is my current load order:

:umnik2 No worries. Sorry, I do try to read most all the postings. Can you guy's update and then post on this thread what you find?

@revfisk Thank you for including the other link in this posting. I consider that "confirmation" but with last nights update lets check and not make :kinggath: KG chase dead molerats :yes3

Please anyone posting on this thread, clean out the save file folder before confirming.

It would be bad to have save file goofiness "bloat" be the cause. I don't have this bug so can't say that this has anything to do with it but it is the first thing I would check here.
 
I have this problem but I don't consider it a bug. Want to know why not? Because I have not been able to replicate it on a save with only SS mods installed.

I have 4 saves that I use very frequently. All have conqueror installed, 2 are for building only, 1 is for testing and the last one is my play-through save. This is a save with 150 mods and yes this is the save I have to force close.

Sure this issue started when I installed conqueror, but with the other 3 saves they close instantly. There is a conflict of some sort and to find that out I would have to go through all the mods one by one and it's not that much of an issue for me to go to that length.

What mods do you and I have in common on your save that is causing the issue?

It shouldn’t make much of a difference but I made a noob mistake and missed we are mixing console and pc.

This is fine, but conformation that everything is updated will be a “good thing”

Please also confirm type of system as sometimes the tags are wrong or not updated?
 
They are on PC @RayBo, couldn't have that many mods on xbox.

I’ll make the same assumption for @revfisk, his tag is xbox but this looks and sounds like pc. I am sure he’ll confirm if I am wrong. + his list has mods that would surprise me if they were on console and he did say task-manager. hahaha, it’s monday and I looked at the tag. yep, pc “task manager”

So, I assume you are still getting the same issue with no change after updating the weekly patch and making sure WF is current.

I will restate the problem statement:

you have to use task manager to save and close the game while running Conqueror?

Disabling all other non-ss mods allows correct shut-down?

Disabling Conqueror allows correct shut-down without task manager?

Last question.

Is this just for the first the first initializing process?

or

Is it continually thereafter?

Sorry, to ask so many dumb questions. I don’t have this bug and I assume KG does not either so it maybe hare to pin point?

This one happens to me too. Every time. No matter if the set up scripts for Conqueror are still running or already completed, no matter if I have other mods besides SimSet and Conqueror active or not. I always have to force quit the game with tast manager.

But when Conqueror is disabled the game shuts down normally
 
It's definitely a mod conflict, I just don't know which one(s). I also encounter this but in trouble shooting other issues (with many mods disabled) my game quit to desktop with no problem. I was actually quite surprised that it did.
My advice is to quit to Main Menu and then you can toggle out and right-click -> Close Window on FO4. The exit save works once you get to the Main Menu so you're not losing anything. I still do a save anyway because I'm paranoid.

I don't know if I should put this as a Bug or not as it's not really a problem with Conqueror by itself, but a helluva mod conflict and I don't know which one. Researching which mod(s) cause the failure to exit FO4 would take a ridiculous amount of time.
