Question on Updating Sim Settlements 2

I'm currently playing on 2v1.0.0 and I want to update to 1.0.0g. Do I just install the new files and replace the old ones or is there a set procedure to follow?

P.S. I'm using Mod Organizer 2 if that helps.

@AnomalousCake Yes, you can update from SS2 v1.0.0 to 1.0.0g by downloading and replacing the old files (without having to start a new game) . With mods as big as SS2, sometimes the download gets botched and then it can be best to download manually and add it to your mod manager.
