Question about SS Simple Sanctuary plan

So I used the simple plan in SS 4.2.7, but I'm running up against the max limit (yellow graph bar) just a few hours into the game (gotten Piper, Cait, Aida & Deacon). I also crash as I am approaching Sanctuary, I remembered to keep my head down as I approached from RR, and sometimes it won't crash, but then I'll get random ctd's elsewhere. I installed canary, and I go back a save from approaching Sanctuary, save, go to main menu, load that save, then save again right away and don't get any errors, but it's highly likely I'm doing it wrong. I started over from when I couldn't install the interceptor in Sanctuary, not enough room. I tried increasing the build limit in the SS manager, still hit the build limit. I have simple Abernathy, simple Finch and simple 10 pines. I did RR just so I could send Aida there and build the robot workbench there to keep it out of Sanctuary, nothing else there.

So, troubleshooting directions?

I suspect your dealing with the Triangle of Death problem.

What @BinaryMisfit said, plus:-

Try changing the build limit setting to "ignore build limit" This allows it to build up without hitting any limits.
As you have all 3 settlements in the triangle of death, you may have issues anyway, however, I found a way of getting into Sanctuary most times without CTD - Fast travel to the vault 111 first. Stay stood still for a while, make sure trees are still swaying etc then approach from the rear. If there is a gate, open the gate and only just move inside before it closes again. Wait a little while, again make sure things are still "swaying" or people moving, then go in.
Doesn't work every time, but for me it works most times.

I don't really have anything at RR except a robot workbench so I can send Aida there for her (it's?) subquest. But I will try the 'ignore build limit' and see what happens. I can always fall back to not using one of the canned Sanctuary builds.
