Tonight's public beta addresses the following:
  • Fixed the 1.0.3a bug that was causing building classes to unlock automatically without meeting any requirements.
  • Far Harbor city plans built after this patch will no longer break workshop mode in those settlements. The issue had to do with the build zone markers being disabled due to an incorrect scrap profile. This profile has been updated on our servers as well so that additional City Plans generated for those settlements will not cause this problem.
  • Mansfield will now correctly acknowledge your previous help with the Vault residents, and no longer make you do the first round of tasks if you previously helped with Austin when asking Mansfield about the schematics. Instead he will skip right to his personal request to check on someone.
  • The unlockable building plan “Sibling Shack” now correctly supports 2 occupants.
  • Fixed a problem with the collision for the default 2x2 furniture store models.
  • Fixed placement issues with the following building plans: Communication Shack, Watershed, Tato Mud Farm, Wasteland Manor, Tin Can, House Boat, Scrapheap Skyrise, Laser Cannon Platform, Tear-down Yard, Tax Office, Organics Hoarder, Tosser Training, and Sensory Lab.
  • Interior settlements with Communications buildings will now use their map marker’s to determine worldspace so that beacons correctly detect them.
  • Interior settlements now use map marker’s for detecting distance between settlements for things like Caravans and beacon runs.

Uncertain if we'll have more updates before patch day with the holidays, but with COVID keeping everyone at home - who knows!

Pure curiousity - what was it using before to calculate that?
 
I experienced the Far Harbor broken workshop bug with Longfellow's Cabin. I've installed the new 1.0.3b, but I still have the broken workshop there. Is there a way to fix it? I tried to Refresh the settlement (with option including scrap profiles), but Workshop mode is still broken. Thanks!

  1. As with anything Bethesda related, If it is totally broke, reload a save from before it happened and pray it doesn't happen again!
  2. If that didn't work, go back further.
  3. If that didn't work, check your load order (again) and start a new game....
 
I was able to go back to previous saves for the other Far Harbor settlements, but I can't go back to a previous save where I didn't use the basic SS2 city plan for Longfellow's Cabin without losing a lot of progress in other areas. It's the only Far Harbor settlement that I have this problem with so I'm just going to live with it.
 
I've noticed a bug in the game that I see a couple of posts but no actual fixes. In Ghoulification Pacification, Carl Meade will not build the clinic. When I try to click on the ASAM to start construction, it keeps saying not enough resources.It also never says what amount of resources is needed like the other plots. I'm now at a point where none of the commercial plots gets built because it just kept saying not enough resources to build. Please hep
 
Fixed a bug where some vendors would have no inventory. This would most commonly impact custom shop types.
Maybe this is a regression since beta a, or it's because the plot was initially built before 1.0.3, but, can't confirm. Furntiure store is still empty.

I may be completely wrong about this but since I also only encountered the message about "not enough resources" with commercial plots I figured the missing resource is settlers. So in the holotape options I changed the commercial requirements to none and since then all commercial plots build just fine.

I was building a settlement when I realized I had a furniture plot, so being new and shiny, I had to check it out. The vendor had inventory. I have my settings in the holotape set to vendors restock based on ind production. I have a nice pretty bench in a settlement that's about to enter zero land...
This is on a save started with SS2 v1.0.0f, upgraded through a few more beta letters to 'm', the official v1.0.1 to the one required for the builder's tool kit. to the official releases after that to currently sitting on V1.0.3 if any of that helps/matters...

Edit - oh, it was v1.0.3 that I was buying the furniture and admiring the craftsmanship!

Hm, it is an interior furniture store which causes the issues for me. Maybe not even from vanilla SS2, i will update after further investigation
 
Not sure if anybody else has had this issue but the advanced laser defense has 2 layers one stationary and one that is animated and rotates. Tried resetting the plot no change tried deleting the second laser no change. Seems like the plot is just double downed on it self i just changed it to the basic plot so it isn’t having paul keep falling off it. He’s old may break a hip.
 
DIA bunker I think may have a different internal setting for it, or it may need a new game for your changes to kick in.
 
The Sibling Shack does seem to supply 2 beds, but it does not display 1/2 or 2/2 type information on the holo display.
