Precombines,Scrap everything,whats the reality?

So, when we're talking about breaking precombines and settlement performance in Sanctuary, we're taking two large issues that are complex on their own and mashing them together to see what happens.
...

^ This is a very comprehensive explanation and should be fleshed out a bit more as a sticky post somewhere.
From a programmer's point of view, I should've known better after reading up on precombines - but I thought that my gaming rig would easily handle the overhead.
But that doesn't seem to be the case it seems like the object processing is still ran on scrapped objects plus I'd say that happens on a single core so.. meh.

Against all odds I just swapped mid playthrough from Scrap Everything to :
And will add to that list once I find more settlements I have issues with.
Hangman's Alley ( using Scrap Everything ) for me was a culprit since I run uGrids 7 and having no precombines just didn't do that area a favor.

I noticed a considerable performance boost.
I'd advise you to think twice though if you plan to do the same, since I'd bet that the vanilla objects I modified are still referenced in my save even though they don't exist after updating those areas. Wether that's the case and how bad that is I cannot tell, someone that is more familiar with the engine's object processing may be able to.

Alternative to scrap everything:

The hangman's ally mod is very well done, so suspect you have a load order issue?

I run that particular mod consistently for years with near 500 mods every run and it has been flawless for me in thousands of hours.

Fo4edit is really the tool you need to use.
You can set it up to scan for mods that change precombines.

Last, the educational vault. The forum version of the sticky?

I updated my post to make it more clear - my issues were performance cuts due to Scrap Everything.
The Hangman's Alley mod and Sanctuary Lite solved the issues for me while achieving (nearly) the same results.

I don't need to scrap things, that (with the right mod) aren't there in the first place. So that's a plus.
I always relied on Scrap Everything because the first time you enter a location, if it's already stripped to the ground - well it doesn't look very natural.

Right now pretty much everything works, except my usual issues with needed overrides to Wasteland Operator mod - which I'll gladly accept for never having to hear from Preston again.

Sanctuary Lite
That looks stripped to the bone! I'll have to read about it on nexus later. I'd be worried (from the pictures posted on nexus) with that level of removal it really taking a cheese grater to the pre-combines for the settlement though. :(

I read through it and it sounds promising, but, if I understand what I am reading, I wouldn't be able to use MDF's Red Rocket or Hangman's Alley Optimized. Decisions, decisions.
I see i have the same now i play horizon it own scrap mod inside .Can,t wait for 1.9 and patch with ss2 if happen of course;p that's all need to enjoy fully F4 till Starfield relase
