Plots on **Random - Reset Cache not working

My Residential and Commercial plot menus are only **Random - I honestly can't recall if the Industrial is also - but the Municipal is fine - so at least the basic building blocks of the settlements I can control. I can't tell if its a bug or if there is some mystery setting somewhere that caused this. I've reset the building cache multiple times and nothing has changed.

I have exact same problem. It started after i updated ss2 to the latest one on nexus (added on 14 may 2021). Sometimes I can choose building plan on a commercial plot that i've builded before update but when i want to choose plan for a new commercial plot there is only "random" option. Reseting cache does not work. I tried to disable/enable addons but this does not work either. I also tried to install previous version back and load save from before update but with same result. And in my case this happens only for 2x2 commercial plots, bigger and smaller ones work correctly as well as other plot types. Any ideas?

I think I fixed it. I was also having a problem where Place Anywhere wasn't working as much as it should. I ended up reinstalling Script Extender - another thread on here for another issue talked about manually copying the files over instead of dragging the folders over. I tried that and so far I've got all my plot lists back.

Well, I tried to uninstall F4SE and install it back but manually, same with sim settlements 2 and addons but it didnt help. I've noticed that 2x2 commercial plots (with which I have a problem) are working slowly e.g. building takes more time than for other plots, plot status window (the one on the middle left side) stucks on screen longer than usual and i often cant open option menu for plot because i have a notification on top left side "plot is finishing process"(or something like that). I guess it is some kind of a script lag, so i also tried to uninstall some heavly scripted mods like PANPC but with same result. I have highly modified game (about 140 mods) but i havent got any problems until updating ss2. I guess the last thing i can try is starting new savegame but i really want to avoid it because i dont want to lose my progress on my current save. Do you guys have any other clues what might cause this problem?

So Fallout doesn't support removing mods mid game. So your save is probably hosed. Start a new game.

I've been adding and removing Fallout 4 mods mid game since 2015. Never really had a problem with it. Only ones I'm really careful with are mods that add new workshops. I think the knee jerk reaction to start a new game is often unwarranted.

With Sims 2 I've had various issues with script lag crop up from time to time. Put your character in the middle of a settlement then make yourself a cup of coffee and putter around for 15 minutes or so. Sometimes it works magic.

I haven't installed the new update to Sims 2 and this thread has me a little nervous to do so just yet.

Lucky you. However the FACT remains that it is not recommended or supported to add or remove mods mid game. Knee jerk or not new games can make for better bug freer games.
