Info Needed Player Set To Essential

As the title says something set my player character to essential, I noticed it after I left Vault 81. There was a known bug that caused this with the quest confidence man, which I have not started. If anyone knows how to unflag the PC as essential please let me know, I would rather not replay hours of gameplay.
