Solved Place Everywhere - Sometimes It Works

Finally installed the Place Everywhere mod, and it worked fine about 3 hours ago. Logged out, came back hours later and now it does not start. Yes - I tried F8 several times and have the most current version. Went back to Nexus and there are many comments regarding not working. At least it worked for several hours. Is there some magical command?

As always, advice and assistance is appreciated.

PS: tried to delete/scrap some structures using "Insert" and that did not work.

You did launch with the F4SE icon and not from the steam play button? This is the only time I have "found" it not working haha....

Yes - the f4se_loader, as shown on the image.

In addition, I am having other small issues that started several days ago - lock pick animation is now very fast and noticeable tremors are occurring frequently. The thing is - I did not change anything - not my AMD GPU card settings or my Windows 10 settings. If only I could return to Windows 7

I suspect there were multiple contributors to the issues I have been having due to my new super-duper PC (AMD CPU and GPU):
  • enabled the Radeon Enhanced Sync which according to AMD is a greatly improved vsync
  • my GPU was also overriding Fallout 4 to optimize textures - after disabling this setting most of my problems stopped
  • another issue that was occurring in the background was automatically updated AMD drivers and apparently they have some issues
Before I changed the above setting, I copied/pasted the unzipped f4se files over the existing files in the Common/Fallout4 folder, as shown above, and Place Everywhere worked. Whether it will work tomorrow is yet to be seen.

Hopefully tomorrow, all will be "smooth sailing."

Thanks for your comments/suggestions.

On a similar note - of a different type - 2x today, if I go out of my game (loaded by F4SE) to main menu - then back into the game, I loose the save/autosave of Unlimited Survival/can't manual save through console, etc... it's like the save function of the game falls apart... I lost about 15 mins because I thought it saved, but it really didn't... said it saved, but then when I exited and came back it was back 15mins... ugh... tested it again... so, basically, as long as I don't go to main menu and back in, I am good.. but I will have to dig into this...

And another day - my very fast animations are back and the only change I made to anything was to add the Nuka World Vertibird Altitude Fix mod.

Wait! I know - its that wily @MrCJohn - clearly I need to trade my miniature schnauzer for a Ysalamir :grin

Say what????? Who went where? Who is this guy????

Dang... :)

Get 'em … burn it all down, baby.

PS - never been called wily before - is it a new badge of honor :))

Well, I have now tried numerous fixes for my animation/game speeding up and what finally worked is described below:
  1. the Sunday fixes see above
  2. the threat of using a Ysalamir to prevent any "force" tampering
  3. enabling Radeon Chill which sets upper/lower limits on frame rate
  4. changing the iPresentInterval setting as discussed here https://steamcommunity.com/app/377160/discussions/0/348293073007118808/
  5. so finally decided to try and "live with it" and quit the game, came back later and restarted Fallout 4 and no hyper-velocity
Tested this several times and this works:
  1. start the game, go to the main menu, quit the game, and exit Steam in the task bar
  2. restart Steam and the game, and no hyper-velocity animations, which is a serious problem with lock pick.
If anyone has any suggestion as to why this is happening, I would appreciate knowing.

Thanks

I have had the hyper lovlnpock before. Generally it will occur unless I use an ENB and set the fps lock at 60fps.

You dont happen to have vsync on as well? I have noticed that will happen and change my refresh of my alien monitor from 240 to 120.... which then makes my fps 30....

Its somewheres in there @

ENB ?

With my AMD graphics card, I have the choice of the Radeon enhanced sync or vsync. I am using the enhanced sync. Radeon also allows me to control the minimum and maximum fps - currently they are set to 56 to 63. I may widen the min/max a'bit.

With my eyesight, my 7 year old 42" Samsung TV with a refresh rate of 60 is providing good graphics with my new PC.

I have now tested - start the game/exit the game and then restart the game more than 6 times in the past 3 days, and that fixes the hyper-speed problem.

Hi Slb! Not sure if you've already read this elsewhere ... When someone mentions "ENB" they're talking about a really neat utility that can add all sorts of graphical effects and/or speed optimizations to supported games. I'm currently using one called 'Subtle ENB' that deepens colors, adds various shading and lighting options, and a few other things.

I'm a new user here, so I can't post links, but I encourage you to read up on ENB (and especially the Subtle ENB version).

The thing about the ENB utility itself is that you can edit the .ini files that come with it to both limit your FPS and, if needed, force VSYNC - which, FYI, might be necessary in this case; I've read in several places that AMD FreeSync is not recognized by Fallout 4's engine. I recently got and AMD Radeon RX 570 and I had to do this.
