- Workshop Framework now has a Settlement Layout System for importing and exporting settlement designs. There's so much to this system, I'm doing a livestream to cover it all and answer questions. Here are some videos until then:

Hola, he comenzado a usar el settlement transfer con el tutorial de City planert toolkit, y quede un poco confundido, debo usar este o continuo normalmente con el anterior. Es necesario instalar los mods descriptos como el workshop ?. Y con respecto a los scrap profiles o baseline, debo seguir haciéndolo como en el tutorial, o ya no es necesario. Gracias

@kinggath I saw you released your version of Sanctuary that is intended to work with the new WSFW on xbox. Are there specific plot plans or decoration packs one needs for it to work? Do we need run to the City Planner holotape at a specific time like before or after attempting to load the first section the first time? Am I supposed to acivate the workbench? I only ask because I tried loading the agriculture section and the player house on two separate games with minimal mods installed and the progress bar never moved nor were any changes to the settlement made. Not sure if this is the right place to question/report this but I couldn't figure out where it would be appropriate or where to find a video or documentation that might answer/resolve my issue

Hmm.... I got it to work but there is a mod conflict somewhere. Gonna try to narrow it down. One question remains though. When should one activate the city planner tape and build a desk when loading sections that have Sim Settlement plots but no desk is built in the settlement? Actually one more question. Are city planner desks even needed in this format?

Some people have reported that it doesn't work for them unless they have Junktown installed, but I have tested multiple times without it and it works fine - so I'm assuming some sort of mod conflict.

Generally when the build process gets stuck its because a model file is missing.

You do not need to activate the holotape or build a City Planner's Desk to use Layouts from Workshop Framework such as the Sanctuary build I released.

Thanks for the info I really enjoy your and the rest of the SS team's work thanks and keep it up. As soon as this pandemic is over and I'm employed again you'll have a new patron.

I'm also having problems getting the Sanctuary Import to Load. Load Progress is stuck at 0%. I previously had a Lvl3 RotC settlment; the Scrapping progress worked great - only a handul of orphaned object that i needed to MarkForDeletion. I already had Wasteland Ventures installed (I reinstalled just to be sure); also reinstalled Workshop Framework, but with same results. Any pointers where I should be looking for root cause?

Thanks!!

There are 3 things that can cause it to get stuck:

1. script overload (check your save with fallrim tools - if you have a triple digit number next to ActiveScripts - this is probably your issue and you just have to wait it out),

2. missing models - everything in that layout is in SS, but if you aren't using 3-in-1, there might be a model file missing; and

3. the progress meter itself is just screwed up - though if that were the case you'd still see the items appear after a short while.

I let the game sit for 3 hours after triggering the layout install. The progress bar didn't move past 0% with no new items appearing. Fallrim shows only 10 active scripts currently (I think it was around 70 initially). I attempted to import a vanilla Transfer Settlements config -- it imports (and updates the progress bar); but gets stuck on a Wall Light (part of Vault-Tec Workshop DLC). Not sure if it's the same object causing problems with the Kinggath layouts; but i'll step through my mods to find the conflict.

Any chance I can find anything meaningful in the Workshop Framework logs that could point me to the offending object or missing model?

Thanks for your help!

The WSFW system is multi-threaded, so the log order will be sort of random, making it difficult to get any useful information.

Can you try removing that object from the blueprint and rebuilding the Layout? (If you aren't familiar with how to remove entries in a JSON file, there is a tool on nexus for editing blueprint files in a more user-friendly way).
