Patch 4.2.3 is now live!

To view this content we will need your consent to set third party cookies.
For more detailed information, see our cookies page.

- Computer Research Assistant Quest is now complete. Build a Circuitry Lab by upgrading Excavation Pit > Ceramics Kiln > Circuitry Lab and play around with the stuff inside to trigger the quest.
- Stockpile System disabled by default. This will make Industrial Revolution content much easier to unlock. If you have an existing save, you can turn this off in the holotape/MCM under the Advanced options.
- More bug fixes! Including some fixes for the Personal Guard system and a big bug that would have affected the prebuilt settlement system. See full patch notes below for details.

@kinggath Is the Sim Settlements: Conqueror Framework Edition supposed to be the same size as the standard one? This is on my Xbox One.

Will try and fix that tonight. Very likely this will happen every patch - it is a giant hassle to make the Framework Edition... I honestly am not sure I'm going to keep it up.

I can understand that. Makes me wonder why you don’t just change your Raiders into a faction mod and just make changes to the two as separate things. Then again I’m not a coder so I have no idea how hard it would be to basically extract the code for Jammer and his gang out of it. Don’t get me wrong, if I had a pc that could handle the game the way I would like there wouldn’t be a Sim Settlements mod I wouldn’t have running on it. Your mods & the community’s support has kept me playing Fallout 4 for years now & it looks like that isn’t going to stop any time soon. Thank you & the team for all the hard work.

Too bad I am not any good at arcade games. I guess I will have to be better at Creation Kit. *chuckle*
Edit: Well, I'm not better than you at Creation Kit, but after half-an-hour of getting angrier and angrier, I finally got a high enough score in the arcade game. Finished the quest and am uncertain why I would want what I got. But thank you for tying up the loose end.

I would think at this time you would remove all the plots, city plans & factions that are vanilla to your mod & turn them in to mods. It would make the vanilla mods all frameworks & make life easier for the XBox crowd. It would reduce your work load in the long run. It would allow the Xbox guys to pick & choose based on style & size of the mods. I mean they were ment to be frameworks anyhow. Call it a long term project it want.

While I love the modular nature of mods, and do design my stuff to act as a framework, for new users having to download building plans and city plans before they can use it would be a pain and probably turn a lot of people away from the mod.

Already, having no faction packs included with Conqueror causes a lot of issues.

It's unfortunate that Bethesda saddled such a harsh restriction on Xbox. If it weren't for that, we wouldn't even need to worry about modularity on the file level, everything could be toggled in-game.
