No updates to Workshop Framework or SS2Extended today.

  • Fixed the Hub of the Problem issue where Jake won't enter the building reliably.
  • Added Shopkeeper Bark system and custom barter/clinic dialogue for a number of characters.
  • Added tons of forms and helpers for people using the Addon Maker's Toolkit to help them more easily make content for SS2! (Seriously it is easier than ever and way more power - give it a try if you've ever wanted to try modding!)
  • Fixed a large number of side character quests and building plan issues.
  • Improved the look of the Vit-o-Matic screen and it now supports settler renaming mods such as What's Your Name? correctly.
  • And loads more!

Thank you to everyone on the team who helped create and implement the new content/fixes, our community and beta testing team for relaying things to me, and all of you for providing constant feedback on issues and improvements you'd like to see made!

Bi-Weekly patches will continue for the foreseeable future for SS2 so you can anticipate when your issue may be fixed (though expect the one that would normally fall on Christmas day based on this schedule to come either a few days early or a few days late).

The Bars in the Vit-o-Matic screen are cool. Easy to see. Maybe we can have a marker-line at the advanced plot level? Is it 6?

Are the communication plots call more and better settlers itselves or we need another element or action to activate that function? Thanks.
 
Finished the chapter one and only can say: WOW! What a story. Can't wait for more.
At first, its looks like the patched-eye guy gived me another mission, even I got the usual animated message when you start a quest. He said he found something on the floor for me. Got no message of what I recieve. There's no quest activated in my Pipboy and there's nothing in my inventory (note, holotape, etc). I got a problem or need to wait the chapter 2?
 
The Communications plots work on their own.

As far as what Aiden hands you, it should have triggered 2 unlocks. They would be skipped though if you had already unlocked those things in advance (Mark 1 Beacons and Communications building class), either through natural gameplay or the cheat system.

On xbox I can confirm that talking with Aiden at the end of the quest naturally unlocked both but when using the cheat system the communication building class isn't unlocked.

I'll make a post of a bunch of xbox issues that seems to have made it trough the cracks at some point this week. It's a bit harder to do considering I'm not sure what is content that was removed to respect the 1Gb limit and what is genuinely missing. For instance, is the advanced section of the holotape supposed to be empty? Is there no way to have the settlement recalculate build limit or is it just an xbox removal?

Is there anywhere I could see what is missing "on purpose" on Xbox?

In the "Who can ASAM?" I sent the new settlement to the Hangman's Alley. Everthing ok, except the caravan plot doesn't conect the town to the other settlements. I assing it manually, without sucess...

The things that are missing from Xbox are inconsequential things to the main gameplay loop. For example, a bunch of the dog variations. Every tool and script on Xbox is identical to that on PC. So if you are experiencing a problem on Xbox, it is almost certainly happening on PC as well.
 
I'm on 1.0.2 on a new game. I can't interact with the dog in the "Let sleeping dogs lie" quest. Didn't have this bug before. Also, Lily appeared with two settlers in Sanctuary. Both of the settlers later just vanished, only Lily remained.

Yes, it should be. The question is: your Hangaman's Alley was made by you or is the result of the "Who can ASAM" quest? Because all of the settlements made by me work perfect with caravan plots. The problematic settlement for me is the one Old Paul build after the named mission. I dunno is some kind of conflict or a script delay that need take days for stablish the conection.

ah, i understand. my hangman alley was all made by me...
 
Hub of the problem worked 100% yesterday for me. No more not entering no more running back to starting spot no more idle looking at vault tech interior waiting for him nothing just worked.

as far as hangman’s I really dislike building there it’s an already crowded area being close to diamond city. But the city plan from ss2 works alright for me at least it was on version 1.0.1 not tried it yet on 1,0,2. But I didn’t assign their team there maybe it’s something to do with their group.

Yeah, probably the most disgusting place to build, that's the reason I sent the people there. I guess they are taking revenge on me, hehehe.
 
I start to got dissapearing walls in military zones like Bravo station an National Guard post. Anyone find some like that?
EDIT: Please ignore that, the problem was Loot put the FO4 FPS fix up in the load order, sorry

Hi, kinggath! How long takes to those plots start to recruit new settlers? Mine still have the same population after some days.
 
Hmm the SS2 menu from the Workshop has disappeared for me on this release. On existing and new save. Reverting to 1.0.1 brings it back.

Is this a known bug or you think it's something to do with my set up?
